Update on knowledge management here.

Cards that accept CardUp for 5% cash rebate
UOB One Card (capped at $2000 per month), BOC Family Card (capped at $600 per month)

Insurers that allow partial pre-payment of premiums
Great Eastern
AIA
Prudential
Aviva

So that means, if your premiums of $6000 is due in September, you can pay $2000 in June, $2000 in July, and $2000 in August, and the insurer accepts it.

Minimum CardUp Fee

$3.40, that means minimum payment of $130 per transaction is required to make your payment worth it.

For MINDEF AVIVA GTL

Choose "Health Insurance" Category, and under the "Policy Number", you put in your NRIC. Then take a screenshot and email them after you have make a payment.

Maybank platinum card?

Thanks for compiling. Just some addons :)

1. If a bank 'accepts' cardup, then ALL cards issued by that bank will accept cardup transactions as valid for watever promos, whether cashbacks, points, miles etc.

2. Standard chartered should be added to the list too. There might not be a net gain after deducting the cardup fee but technically SC does not exclude cardup. Spree confirmed is a 'loss' after deducting cardup fee, but manhattan not sure. Very long never use liao.

Ok I got a reply from Scb. They have credited my rebate but they apologised for the delay.

So I’m not sure if it’s manually adjusted after I complained. Or it’s just 3 day delay (usually on time on 8th I get)

No you can't now

Someone posted b4 that you cannot pay on behalf of others, n cardup will advise you to create an account for that person.

However, how do they enforce it? Do they actually tally the payment reference (nric) vs the NRIC of the cardup account holder? Did we provide out nric when we register for cardup account? Old liao, cannot rem :s13:

Actually you might be able to. You just can't use different card up accounts to pay for the same nric

IRAS wouldn't see the cardup account nor your cc. It just see the reference you key in during setup the payment, example the nric/fin number or the bill number…

I have different CU accounts with same CC - no problems using it.

I have also paid someone else's tax using my CU & CC.

Just be careful, especially for payments where you need to upload docs - these they will surely check. These are CU's "suka suka" restrictions.

If cannot pay, then create separate accounts will be safest route.

If using promo code, be careful about validity. Bcos if any issue, CU wld only inform you on scheduled payment date, by which time, promo code no longer valid.

For separate accounts, what they do care about is unique handphone numbers and unique email addresses. It is their way of ensuring that these are actually different persons that the accounts are pegged to. Hope this helps :)

Wat you wanna do is your business, but i just wanna add that if the referral system is abused, they might just reduce the referral bonus or just scrap it :s13:

wish to clarify :

... the different accounts refer to those for my wife & I

... separate accounts refer to getting respective individuals, whom you want to make a payment for, to register a CU account

thanks
