Planning to get ceiling fan for my new bto, then when I went shopping realised that there’s lots of brands & the prices are widely different too.
For those around the $200 mark per fan, it’s Fanco, Crestar & Bestar. Anyone can share if these 3 brands are ok in terms of power & durability? Or should spend more get those close to $300 fans?
im been using fanco for 10 + years up to now the fan speed start to spin slower which i believe was the capaxtior. Will order one online to change it out.

Using fanco in multiple homes.

Medium will become slow over time.
Remote will spoil easily until u cannot use the remote to choose fan/light speed.

Changing the remote controller driver makes the fan work ok. Medium become medium again.

Not sure why

Hi there. I just want to enquiry. I've a current fan in my room and I feel the wind at speed number 5 is not strong enough. What can you recommend for a change with a good strong wind?
More blades equal more wind? Or less blades more wind?

just bought a v56 and r48 ceiling fan,

as there is a switch to power on the fan and i turn off the switch but when i turn on the switch to the fan, it automatically turn on,

is this normal ?

the switch for power to the fan, should be it be off when we are done with the fan or always keep on it is okay ?

just use remote to turn on and off accordingly ?

the electrician recommend to turn off the switch when not in use,

anyone can advise or share your experience,

thanks in advance

Hi, can i consult you guys which is the better option. I was told hugger ceiling fans are not as strong as the space between the ceiling fan and the ceiling lesser than normal. i have the option to lift a 1.5 m by 1.5 m squarish part of the ceiling to mount the fan (diameter also about 1.5x m). I was wondering if I should have a short rod (instead of a hugger ceiling fan) to mount the ceiling fan on this lifted part. The blades of the ceiling fan would be about 5-7 cm below the non-lifted part of the ceiling. Do you think this will improve air flow?

shorter rod less air flow..... since it closer to the ceiling , the air is suck in from the top then push to the blade down .

Is there a guide as to how large a ceiling fan I should get for a space?

Here’s my floor plan. Note that the dining table is actually smaller than illustrated.

The plan is to have 1 ceiling fan for the living room and 1 for the dining. There’s a hanging pendant light over the dining table so that fan will either need to be entered with the living room but smaller, or shifted to the right somewhat.

I’m looking for something no larger than 48” for the living room and maybe 36” for the dining. Would that be enough?

Floor plan:

I guess the pendant light should be at the centre of your dining table. Thus if u mount a ceiling fan there as well, the fan will have to be way off-centre. This will affect the overall look as your 2 fans are not in a straight line since you will likely mount the living room ceiling fan at the centre.

Thanks. I decided to get a slightly smaller diameter fan, and it’s a bit off center compared with living room unit. Will see how it looks when it’s up but my contractor said it’s quite slight so not that noticeable

The app is region locked, can't download in Sg by default. But if using Android can extract the apk file from the playstore link and download from there. For ios, I think only way is to change region to M'sia.
Is there anyway to do that? Extract the apk thru the website?

hi ppl, something I came across and find it worthwhile sharing.

Am shopping for ceiling fans - but don't really like the newer models - you'll have to 1) turn on the wall switch and 2) use the remote to activate the fan. - further when you turn on the fan (via wall switch) - it doesn't remember your last lighting mode - warm, cool or white. I prefer fan to remember your last settings when you turn on the wall switch - ie switch the the last fan speed and also last lighting mode (cool, warm or white)

Came across the efenz brand - like the design, the sale person is super convincing HOWEVER this fan have the same problems as described above. I eventually called the efenz headoffice and then found that they can actually program/ modify their fan to remember the last memory (both fan speed and lights) if you request for it at no additional cost. As I am currently doing up my place to be a smart home - this last memory thingy is really a plus point.

Also - I was told that efenz uses the RF433 protocol for it remote control - that means I can control the fan speed and light via a IR/RF blaster :)

Now if any efenz fan user will be kind enough to share their experience - will really be appreciative. thank you

using custom rf433
can control fan speed, everything but lights got sound acknowledgement but not responding to signal

did the efenz share how to program to remember last memory settings?
