Ceiling Fan Recommendation

can anyone share their experience with the after-sale support for fanco ceiling fans?

if your ceiling fan is spoilt during warranty, how's the repair experince like? Will they take very long to rectify?

for a $189 ceiling fan below, they are willing to give 4 years onsite warranty which i think is kinda crazy...

My family all using fanco. Some more than 10 years

All same issue, remote will either become not responsive (you must press a few times before it trigger or sometimes it just refuse to work) or remote medium speed gets slower each year...

No issue with motor. Only issue so far consistent is remote module. Got a 3rd party one for $8 the above issue becomes non existence. Shared before in here.

May I know from which year onwards will u see the remote module issue?

It states it comes with 4 years onsite warranty... so I presume the warranty should cover the remote module right?

I used to use KDK ceiling fan, the remote control also easy to give problems... however, not the remote module.

random. I have 4 sets around me. All the intermittent remote issue kicks it at different time.

can control fan speed, everything but lights got sound acknowledgement but not responding to signal

did the efenz share how to program to remember last memory settings?

@blackestvoid , when I last spoke to efenz - they mentioned a hardware change. This hardware enables the fan to rem its last settings - ie fan speed and lights.

i've recently had my 2 units of JB-bought elmark 56" fans spoilt due to capacitor and remote control receiver. costs me a fair bit to change them.

anyone have any recommendations which fans have separate receiver and remote? that means i do not need to change the whole set when the remote control died... i know Alpha Fans (msia brand) is such as i've had the remote died during the ** Period and i got the remote control sent over from KL at 70RM....

How you purchase your Alpha fan remote control? My Vannus (under Alpha brand) has spoiled and now my fan can only work with single speed without light (last memory)!

Hi all, Been looking at fans for my new place as well... Wondering if anyone has any review or comments on Alaska fans? (https://alaskafans.org/) I am looking at the Bay, Fern 3 and Aspen 3 for my 4rm HDB living room.. I like the hugger type of fans.

Another option I was told to consider is Aeroair as well for my bedroom... but not sold on the design but wouldn't mind hearing the pros and cons!

Perhaps head down to the showroom and try out each fan? They have many different blade designs which produces wind differently.

Im using gust-01 blade in my bedroom and while its still a tad big for the room size (46"), the wind produced at speed 4 is good. Only opt for light kit which is bright enough for the room. Service wise, their installers are also good. Cover floor to collect dust, helped me remove existing ceiling fan slowly to pass back to me, help clean up a bit after installing.

Should my living room or master bedroom fan spoil, i will consider to change back to same model if still available in qoo10 by then. Only reason i dun like about my existing living & master room fan is of the remote control. Its using capacitive touch so its not so responsive. Perhaps another cons of Po Eco remote is that it does not have indication of current fan speed, but not a big deal.

showroom head down easy to find out about speed, aesthetics but not durability am coming from that lens too.

Is the remote RF or Infra? You did not opt for the additional smart unit to make it controllable via wifi?

Remote shld be RF? didnt really go check. Didnt go for wifi module coz remote is always on my table. Dun see the need to spend extra $80 for something i wun use.

Durability wise, have bene using since Sept 2020, no issues so far for that matter other than dusty blades. No wobbling as well although i have a hugger installed.

got example how the remote looks like? I am too used to using my google home to control so I will need to pay $50 more for wifi module if it is not RF.

FOr me, the blade 01 produces the best air circulation when i stood directly below and at the sides. Just nice when i showed them the Qoo10 page to help identify which is using 01 blade, they had a promo on the Wave 01 whereby it is a stripped down ver with no yuragi function, lights dimmer, timer and wifi module. Basic speed 1-6, reverse, 3-tone light are still there.

If need other models, can check out lzd instead.

Im not sure if this remote is the standard for all fan models, best to head down and take a look.

Hi, just to check.. for kdk fan no wind blown to the side.. only can feel wind movement if directly below the fan..
what the issues for this?

Just bought a crestar valueair 55 inch model....

Realise the led lights cause quite alot of shadows when the fan is spinning.

Any suggestions to minimize the shadows? Thanks

any good recommendation on the ceiling fan with light? and where is the best place to get a better deal?

i bought my last ceiling fan i think is Fanco and together at a shop which sells lighting in jurong east i think. but this was about 13 years back.. lol

now getting a resales and planning to get all these again.
