Planning to get ceiling fan for my new bto, then when I went shopping realised that there’s lots of brands & the prices are widely different too.
For those around the $200 mark per fan, it’s Fanco, Crestar & Bestar. Anyone can share if these 3 brands are ok in terms of power & durability? Or should spend more get those close to $300 fans?

Anyone using PO Eco fans? Can share feedback?
Im using this for bedroom. Bought the $279 48" Wave fan with 3-tone lights but no dimmer and timer from qoo10. So far so good to cool a small room, usually use ard Speed 4. It is kinda better than the Relite ceiling fan i got for living room in terms of warranty and remote. The relite is using capacitive remote in which it is not so sensitive. Physical buttons are still better.

Go to their showflat at AMK to test out. Each fan got a different blade design that generates wind differently. I find '01' blade design to be best for me. YMMV.

Is there a guide as to how large a ceiling fan I should get for a space?

Here’s my floor plan. Note that the dining table is actually smaller than illustrated.

The plan is to have 1 ceiling fan for the living room and 1 for the dining. There’s a hanging pendant light over the dining table so that fan will either need to be entered with the living room but smaller, or shifted to the right somewhat.

I’m looking for something no larger than 48” for the living room and maybe 36” for the dining. Would that be enough?

are you sure that is wise? i would think the ceiling fan will cause the hanging pendant light to sway, and swaying lights could be rather distracting.

That is also one concern I have, but the pendent light is something that is secured by 3-4 wires, so hopefully less sway than if it's only 1?

Also would a smaller diameter fan would hopefully help and/or moving the fan more to the left so there's more distance between the fan and the table?

3-4 wires in a straight line? still pretty easy to sway sideways perpendicular to the axis of the row of wires I would think.

Consider getting ceiling fan with built in 3-tone or single tone lights instead? Save on a powerpoint as well. I think both living room and dining area can get 48". Better to have strong wind and adjust from there than not to feel much wind at max speed.

Hi ppl,
I’ve got a question on the behaviour of ceiling fan that will need some input.
Most ceiling fans when powered (switched on) up - doesn’t run - at most the led light up. We’ll have to use the remote to activate the fan.

Am looking for ceiling fan that will remember it’s last state. For example- if fan is running at speed 2 before i switch off power - I want it to return to speed 2 when i switch it on again. No need to search for the controller.

Will be using smart switches and I don’t want a situation where I “smarten” all lights and fan - but in the end - I’ll need to go look for the fan remote everytime. Any ceiling fan to recommend that can rem its last state?

Yes, I'm buying fans that all have lights. My downlights are all planned out, using Philips Hue.

Just concerned about placement of the dining room fan as there is a pendent light there as well

I’m also looking for the solution. Intending to install aqara smart wall switches. Now wondering how control the selling fan as well without the remote.

Hi @Eaglet350 ,
You can try exploring the broadcom rm pro controller. It is a ir and rf controller - need to make sure that it supports the frequency that your fan use. Usually its rf 433mz
Even that u’ll need 2 steps - first using the aqara switches to on the fan - then activating broadcom for the fan speed. Very troublesome.

Hi ho,
Thanks for your suggestion. Will explore this option. At the moment, prob will just get one without lights to simplify things. Setting up the aqara smart switch with apple HomeKit already a lot to learn for me 😅
