Been using point 3 units of PO cyclone and lots of issues. From day 1 two of the units had issues with vibrating hum noises, they came down multiple times and never got rid of it entirely. One of them just had issues with the motor, PO said would arrange to come and change it out but still haven’t followed up, I have to chase them now.

FYI I went with their official installer and it’s installed direct onto concrete. Should be a pretty standard setup.

Edit: forgot to mention the fans don’t work with home assistant as well which is unfortunate. It does work with tuyas official app though
Wow! Serious ah! Is that the RS version?

I have different experience though. So far my 4 units of PO Eco using it for more than 3yrs so far no issues.

I am using the gust series though.

My entire home is on Tuya and Google Home. So everything works nicely.

Interesting. The vortex and cyclone are their 2 flagships. Gust is more like entry. Or is it because of the silicone cover, it absorbs sound and vibration?

Couldn't say for sure though.

Gust prettier meh? Vortex and Cyclone follow amdk Haiku design. Maybe your wife pro more Japanese beauty with the elegant fan look

Hi all, finally got round to getting my ancient spoilt ceiling fan replaced. Bought the Prestige M3, installed today.

However, my old fan was an AC fan which was still using the old style regulator box attached to the wall instead of remote. When I was at the shop I showed them a photo and they said it would be removed, but the installation guy didn't remove it and just said to leave it on 4 because the other speeds won't work. Should I insist that they remove it, or is it fine for it to be like this long term?

On a side note, the fan is nice but the remote is ugly AF. Maybe I should have gone with the Alaska Burah instead 💀

Lol they claimed they cannot do it without damaging the switch box because one of the screws is sandwiched between the switches and the speed box itself and made up some excuse about needing to use a hammer which will damage the wall.. but I just pulled out the screws with pliers in 2 minutes.

Waiting for them to respond now, luckily I haven't paid the balance yet

Hi, need some advise for ceiling fan size. clearance btw wall and ceiling fan. i thinking to get 56inch for bedroom, on floor plan show 240cmm x 370cm spare. mean i will have balance 48.9cm clearance from blade to wall. total length of the ceiling fan is 142.2cm.
if not, will be 48inch length of ceiling fan is 121.9cm clearance 59cm.

JB is cheap and ok if you don’t mind the hassle. Need to get private installer. Some private installer likes to install 2 screws instead of 4 citing no problem. Best brand is Haiku and Aeratron.

In terms of clearance it's just nice enough, but you might get shadow at the ceiling from your lights. Depending if you are using light source from the ceiling fan itself or have other light fixtures.

Shadow depends on how you mount the lights. If can then get lighting consultant to model. Will be safer

Bro, can u help me that room you using for bedroom or study room? If bedroom then I don’t think you need 52” fan. Typically your fan will be above the bed so 46” above king size bed also ok. But if you using it as study room, then maybe. All these assuming you don’t intend to do carpentry

Guys

just a word of caution after sharing from my amdk friend. If today you ordering Haiku fan, you can see they use huge solid brackets to enforce support on false ceiling. This kind is like the “Apple” of fan installer. Very baojiak and the chances of the fan dropping on you almost non existent.

The mid tier ones uses 3 rods with some thinner brackets (go taobao can get for $10). This kind fan likely to wobble. Their service will be F up and didn’t cover your false ceiling properly. These installers will also claimed they have done this for last 20 years and no problem

The cmi ones machiam 山寨 phones. They use wood reinforcement for ceiling fan. This type can run far far away.

Those zai one you will see their installation very solid. Those F up ones will claim your false ceiling caused their ceiling fan to vibrate. I guess they probably never study physics in secondary school

So choose wisely my friends

Thanks for the tips.

my place is windy, kind of worried that living room fan will wobbles badly when windows are open.

haiku or Aeraton is sturdy enough?
Or anyone else have similar strong wind from windows blowing into living room?

Which brand fan is more sturdy?

Thanks in Advance.

Hi all I have been doing research for the last few days and reading the posts here as I am planning to purchase a 50-60 inch ceiling fan for my living room. I feel like trying Aeratron but read alot of bad reviews of washer coming off if not installed properly. Feel like buying back haiku L series but price point not cheap

thus need advice and help here. Thanks

1. Aeratron AE3+ (contacted Tampoi for pricing as well as locally)

2. Haiku ( personally used it before and it lasted 4 years before it broke down and spoil, bamboo series)

3. KDK Airy 48 inch but not sure if wind is strong enough for a 48 inch at living room. The bigger fans are ugly.
