Ironically majority run RAID0 because that is the fastest setup.

No one is talking about important data. You were only posting about double the speed.

Sooooo you are running raid 0 on SSD? Why tho? Not worth it to sacrifice life span for more speed.

Some more raid 0 means if either drive fails, everything inside GG. You just doubled your chance of failure for faster speed which you probably won't feel in stuff like gaming.

Maybe if you are running database or compiling some huge stuff then you might see the speed difference.

Even if you use cloud backup, the time spent recovering really isn't worth the extra risk imo

If the prices for gen 4 is good, it is no brainer but if the prices are high, gen 3 is cheap like the 970EVO, I will still go for it.

To be frank, I do not see or feel significant improvement unless there is a very specific use-case where hight speed will be fully utilize. For daily usage for most consumer there is no diff.

The ONLY real benefit for me now, is less cables as I moved to full flash drives. That makes cable Mgmt a ease but the RGB cables are still a mess... lol

Unless upcoming gen 4 drives can boot into Windows within sec or load games with a blink of eye - that’s night and day diff.

yea, got chance for earlier eta, i bought 2 sn750, eta 15 dec, but this morning , i received a notification saying they are on the way alr.
