china-made ePad stuck on screen calibration after updates

hi guys, i am new to Pad world... i have 2 china-made pad - both call ePad (internal configuration said is zenithink-180 something)

one of the ePad stuck on screen calibration after some updates - any ideas how to solve this problem?

The pad still can be charge and bootup - just stuck on calibration everytime. no response wherever i press or even poke, haha....

this case means the touchscreen driver in the update may not be the same as your original one...

you can try work around by tapping all the area of the screen, you may find you tap left, it may be actually most right...

I assume your one is running on via processor and update thru micro sd card, u can try find back the working rom before update and do the same

OK, besides top brands such as Xoom, ASUS Transformer and Galaxy tab, the others are almost china tablets in the Android tablet game. That's the fact, lol. If u do want to get a china tablet at bargain sale, you'd better do a good research homework of configurations and hardwares. Try to take a look at the comparison site before u pull ur trigger, china tablets, and it helps u to find the best source from china, mostly reliable sellers.

Resistive touch screen. Not very fast processor. You might want to reconsider. Yes, it is cheap, but having one that doesn't perform to your expectation might be a bad idea. Would you want to pay 100 bucks but end up with one that possibly cannot play videos smoothly, or display complex websites, or play 3D games properly? If you don't mind something twice the price, you can consider the Herotab C8 / Dropad A8 / Haipad M7.

I used to own the m9 which is also known as rena3. I must say it's pretty fast & smooth. I've sold it & upgraded to the same tablet but with 3g built-in. You can find more info @ slatedroid.com

1) how was your update perform?
2) Thru SD card?
3) which was download from the web? Go back to the site and look for previous rom
take the previous rom and "downgrade" it as you had perform the same steps for update

last update was done thru downloaded file.

Question is now I can't pass the calibration stage - even if I can get the previous ROM, how do I update the system with the original ROM?

i read some the forums saying can take out the RAM-or-chip and reformat and put the ROM into the ROM-chip again.. is it true and how to go about it?

Haha she has an iPad leh. So I trust her comparison. Haha. See how it works when it comes.

Mmm together with a 16gb tf card.. All in I think about $280 if I'm not wrong.

The thing that appeals most to me is the resolution and the battery life..
