I can't connect to the CIMB hotline (+65) 6333 7777 for about two weeks already.
Anyone knows an alternative number?

I want to withdraw fixed deposit, but don't want to go down to physical branch.
Last time could be done easily via phone, but don't know what happen to their phone line.

what happen to their phone line? prob flooded by angry customers who wait 1 month plus after depositing 1k and account still not activated

just go google type cimb bank and read all the recent reviews

there's probably a cap of waiting line (with the influx of fd withdrawal or new account etc) so whenever u call and there's no dial tone, just keep trying till u can select option and listen music

Used CIMB for a few years, first time got this type of problem

thats why i dont bother anymore, i feel i rather have the peace of mind for a bit lower interest .

they increase their interest rates to attract deposits, but then make ppl feel like that they dont need the deposits anyway.

Anything above 4% is already very good, almost optimal. Why waste energy and time to take in and out?

?? they not taking out, is ppl create acc take over 1 month and no reply, nothing, call hotline cant get through etc

the main issue is they require 1k deposit to activate and then nv respond whether got the 1k or not. if they didnt have the 1k deposit requirement it would be better.

Only for new accounts lah! Folks like us, don’t need 1k requirement.

I mean last time their service very good one. Call in easy to get through. Technical issues e.g. digital token, login etc solved Instantly. Staffs sounded knowledgeable. Account opening was prompt and effortless. Now...

They now have overwhelming response which is normal. Last time very easy to get the cso to talk to us so quickly.

Expected ba. Being with CIMB banking over decades.
iirc they were one of the pioneer to set a no frill normal saving account offering the highest interest rate with their Starsaver account back then (ladder incremental deposit)
Last time strictly opening of account via walk-in (no online application), and they only have one main branch at RP, a pretty small scale place with just a few counters.

Now that they came back to offer with one of the best rates around, definitely will be overwhelming with new accounts opening given their default small operation scale.
Not satisfied with overwhelmed service, stick back to big estab offers by local big 3 with multiple branches all around sg lor
