Not sure how much you are placing. For high amounts can consider if RHB premier plus is higher than CIMB.

This is good
will take a look at this

but seeing OCBC360 slashing so much interest yesterday
I must think ahead now
the $800 welcome gift promotion
for cimb preferred may not continue

I guess I am going for Uob Priviledge fresh fund
the 2.6% pa for 3 months
But will need to transfer
$350k from my starsaver before 28 march

Means 3 days of bonus interest gone

Looks like CIMB Starsaver will likely continue to be the best if you have more than $250k compared to eSaver and Maybank after Apr 1.
how come? can share lobang... sic :)

was planning to merry go round to eSaver for April but they haven't release the April cycle rates.

RHB is good ideal if you place $1M.. effective interest rate is 3.3%, for $500k effective interest rate is 2.6%. Good for the big boys... CIMB starsaver effective interest rate from Apr 1 is also about 2.6%.

Can just transfer directly as this is just normal interest, no requirement for fresh funds.

Out of cimb bank fastsaver
to another bank in singapore
then come back in starsaver

tks..can transfer into starsaver this month, no need wait till Apr, even if my Feb ADB is high right? I saw the website now Mar already dont have bonus interest on incremental balance.

tks. I checked the website..this is for new preferred customer. I'm existing customer for many yrs. I checked the app and saw my starsaver was renamed to 'preferred account' though my total relationship balance with cimb is less then $250k. I didn't even know I've preferred account with them until I read ur post.

too bad I don't qualify for this promotion.

With the optimized amt $75K (since int rate is tierred), estimated interest is only 2% (starting 1 April). Sad...
Would be moving to Maribank / GXS for those money, unless CIMB starts a new promo cycle for April. Also, CIMB pays interest slower than the new digibank. Gone are the 3% days.

not inclined to join and lock for 6 months with only 3 months guaranteed... may as well keep it floating and switch between HSBC EGA and eSaver/FastSaver.

Do not understand/follow what you mean by "join and lock for 6 months with only 3 months guraranteed"?

the promotional rate (3%/3.3%) is only until 31 May?

but in the tnc, it says you have to stay for 6 months, else it may be clawed back.

"... Increase a minimum of S$250,000 in AUM (as defined below) with the Bank during the Promotion Period within one (1) month of account opening date when compared against the end-day balance on the last day of the previous month (i.e. 31 January 2025 if Customer increased AUM in February 2025) and maintain the said AUM for a minimum period of six (6) months (“Minimum Period”), starting from the date that the Customer has increased at least S$250,000 of AUM."

Ok.. I was NOT refering to the promotional rate. Just the normal interest rate for CIMB StarSaver from 1 Apr, which has no conditions at all.

To me CIMB TnC is always very convoluted. And they also heavily make use of asterisks *, ** and other superscripts (eg. ^, ^^) that i have a hard time finding (most of the time i can't locate them to interpret what they mean).

But if I look at the below illustration for depositing money in excess of $250K (or even amount that are below this figure), to me they are a pure waste of time
