Means no more maxx $0 plan?Party is over.
Have but subject to purchase of any plan or addon every 60 days i think. See the Maxx thread.Means no more maxx $0 plan?
Done:What to do next after porting in to Maxx? Do I need to terminate my Circles account, or it is done automatically as a part of the porting process?
So simple! I love porting! I don't mind switching telco frequently if it's so easy!Dear Customer, your number has been successfully ported into MAXX.
Don't know when is the next migration exercise.my bro haven't got the e-mail
Think there was sharing about some secruity feature that needs to be disabled that was activated without user knowledge. Likely this "security feature' that caused your porting to fail.Trying to port out Circles $0 plan to Maxx but Circles rejected port out request saying it needs to confirm identity. What nonsense? Should I email to IMDA? Porting out is supposedly a no question ask procedure as long as there is no outstanding bill.
But i only use this line without using any Circle app so there is no way to disable this feature, anyway i had written to IMDA, see how it goes.Think there was sharing about some secruity feature that needs to be disabled that was activated without user knowledge. Then you might want or need to download to resolve this. But i only use this line without using any Circle app so there is no way to disable this feature, anyway i had written to IMDA, see how it goes.
IMDA site has a front page message saying if there is billing dispute, it is advisable to liaise with each other or bring it to CASE, it seems billing dispute is the biggest complaints from the public.![]()
I am porting out so it is lame to install the app just to change the option and moreover, this feature is definitely not in line with porting out rules. Circles is simply using this excuse to make porting out an added hurdle, IMDA should be notified on this unscrupulous practice. Then you might want or need to download to resolve this.
Escalating to IMDA might take a while to have it resolve, since turnaround time isn't quick with IMDA.
That's for sure that billing is likely the number 1 complaint.![]()
May be too late by 24 Sep. The "secureme" option might already turn on & cannot be turn off by customer. 26th Sep 24 will be when $5 plan kicks in, if IMDA is still not responding, then I shall install the app to change the option on 24th Sep may be to quickly expedite the porting.![]()
so now i try porting out from this POS telco that tries to money grab and lose their customer base (well done bro!) but was faced with some difficulties
1. not sure if it is activated for all, but if you have the app, there is this nonsensical setting called "secure me function", this blocks porting out if turned on. this is in the app (acc profile, settings, privacy and security, security options, secure me)
2. they will email you to contact them, so they can run thru some nonsensical check on last bill amt + try to make u stay with them
why i say it is nonsensical? cos porting out verification is already done by the new telco, who ask us to upload a lot of ID and what not (and i think this part is covered by IMDA already unless they doubt their process....), but i believe the setting for #1 is to effectively block porting out so they can charge for another month and delay your porting out
(their email read: We’re sorry to see you go. As part of our security process, we need you to complete an identity verification step before we process the port-out.)
also, contact them and hopefully u stay with them? why not they ask us to contact them much earlier b4 they make these stupid decisions that will affect their customers' pockets?
i am not porting out cos limpeh poor, i m porting out just cos i can, and cos i m damn dulan with how you conduct your business
bye, and never again!
My plan is still $0 plan, so I have to port out before Circle change to $5 plan. I can request to extend $0 plan till end of this year but it is like no dignity to beg for it. Anyway i dont think MVNO plan is prorated if port out, it is charged full month even if ported out half way.I thought the bill would be pro-rated?
Wow, if the user is not given the option to turn off, this is definitely a measure against porting out rules. Users are not required to contact donar party but Circles is doing otherwise. In that case, just leave it to IMDA to sort out, worse to worst, just give up the no. ☺May be too late by 24 Sep. The "secureme" option might already turn on & cannot be turn off by customer.
