By
31 July 2024, all telecommunication companies across Singapore will be retiring their 3G Network and services. This is to make room for advanced 4G/LTE and 5G networks which give you faster speeds, better coverage, new features, and more.
Once the shutdown is in effect, those who are
still using 3G SIM cards and 3G devices will
lose access to mobile calls, SMS, and data services. Meanwhile, if you are on a 4G Non-VoLTE device or do not have VoLTE enabled, you will still be able to access data and SMS but you will no longer be able to make voice calls.
