Hi, so eventually did you manage to port-in + transfer ownership to Circles?

How is the $11 Circles 5G SA plan?
In terms of coverage, consistency (does it drop back to 4G often) and speedtest if any.

Thanks!
Try circles 5G before. In MRT underground it will drop to 4G

Apparently some users are still able to use the $0 flexi plan without getting the forced upgrade.

You should check if the line is still active, since the plan was supposed to be auto-suspended if no usage or activity after 3 months.

Try putting in the circles SIM into a phone and login the CL App to check on status.

For my case (and many others), the plan was auto-upgraded and billed on 1st June 2024.
No prior notifications, other than an SMS which states that the plan will be upgraded but no further details provided, not from email or SMS, etc.
Like you, I didn't have the Circles.Life App installed on my hp back then.
Hope mine wasnt. For my numberm it seems/might have suspended as i have a whatsapp account for it and that account seemed to cease (i added my main n this circles number into a group and that circles number left and ceased whatsapp)

No harm just checking the status of that Circles line, just in case...and to get some confirmation.

If not wrong, WhatsApp accounts are suspended after 4 months of inactivity (1 month longer than supposed Circles Flexi plan suspension due to inactivity).

They no longer forcing ppl to upgrade.
The FAQs were updated with this sentence "until further notice".

@KalTorak : Yes all done after multiple attempts.
They proposed manual ownership transfer via pen & paper, but too troublesome.
Eventually resolved by using another iphone to upload NRIC photos.

Sharing an experience here.
Was a loyal customer for Circles since 2020 and why i decide to change to a new telco.

Plan details (existing since 2020)
- 80GB 4G
- unlimited incoming n outgoing
- 30 sms
- No overseas data
Paying $19 per month.

I was looking around for a telco for my another number and realised that I might be paying too much this plan.
Spoke to the customer service and they offer a plan which is identical to the one posted online on their website, but with lesser perks compared to the one online (250GB for $18). So yeah. In short, like most telcos, they value only new customer. For existing customer, no point staying with them for long period. Maximum you should stay is 1 year. After that, always consider to switch to another telco for better perks. Of course there are other considerations like reception, network, support etc.... but well... there is no perfect telco.... sure will have some complains here and there. But quite disappointed with Circles considering im with them for 4 years and they offer me lousier plan compared to what they have for new customer.

Nothing new and like you shared, not isolated to CL.

Yup. Which is why for subscribers, always good to change after one year or even 6 months once better deals comes along.

Just noticed that my legacy $0 plan can no longer call out and stuck @ 3G.
Reset here reset there still 3G. Put SIM card into iphone15 still 3G, cannot call out.

Edit: They already warned us via email...
didn't know SIM Card also got 3G and 4G version. zzz
By 31 July 2024, all telecommunication companies across Singapore will be retiring their 3G Network and services. This is to make room for advanced 4G/LTE and 5G networks which give you faster speeds, better coverage, new features, and more.

Once the shutdown is in effect, those who are still using 3G SIM cards and 3G devices will lose access to mobile calls, SMS, and data services. Meanwhile, if you are on a 4G Non-VoLTE device or do not have VoLTE enabled, you will still be able to access data and SMS but you will no longer be able to make voice calls.

We wouldn’t want these interruptions now, would we? Visit this page to find out if you’re in the affected categories and see what you can do to avoid these.

For questions, feel free to reach out to our Customer Happiness team or tap away below for all the details on the 3G Shut Down.

I just tested and also having issue making outgoing calls and receiving incoming calls on the $0 Flexi plan. SMS and 4G data still works fine.

But I don't think it's because Circles.Life gave customers 3G SIM cards for the $0 Flexi Plan. 3G SIM card is super old and introduced in the early 2000s in mini/micro SIM size only. When the plan was introduced in 2018 all telcos were already issuing 4G SIM cards in (pre-cut) nano SIM size.

The issue is probably related to the complete phasing out of 3G by 1st Aug 2024, on M1 network. I think Circles.Life either forgot or intentionally didn't bother to do the provisioning of VoLTE for the migration, hence calls are still routed over 3G which is no longer in use and therefore calls stopped working.

My data stuck @ 3G still. Totally unable to surf, unable to call.
On and off 4G Data button but just can't catch on.
Basically my legacy line is as good as dead...

Try moving to another location? 4G data and SMS should still work. Unless you didn’t use the line for many months then possible for it to be automatically terminated.
