Cyclists who speed ought to be blamed but pedestrians shouldn't think that cyclists are always in the wrong. Pedestrians themselves are at fault too when they walk on cyclists lane and when ring, refuse to give way for some people.
Traffic lights show green bicycle, yet many pedestrians still walk on cyclists lane and not pedestrian lane.

Pedestrians themselves ought to zee tong, many buay zee tong, on some paths already clearly can see its part pedestrian part cyclist lanes yet still walk on cyclists path.

Even though some pedestrians did not adhere to rules,
it doesn't mean cyclists are given the right to be errant themselves. They jolly well follow the applicable rules.

Anyway, following LTA, cyclists should give way to pedestrians at all times, no matter the situation.

moi cyclist and pedestrian user.. met problem only when one of the users moving very fast (cycling, running, jumping, etc..).. so just use common sense la..

Its failure on lta part to regulate properly. giving stupid instructions like 10km/h. Alot is really common sense to slow down to walking speed when near blind spots or unpredictable pedestrian behaviors near bus-stops etc...

Already have cycling lane in TMCR, SA and sentosa. Maybe should expand lim chu kang/neo tiew for the west siders.

And mid feb got airshow so the tmcr would be closed and the roadies willgo elsewhere to play.

Should heavily penalise those going at Tour de France speed on pedestrian walkways. Don't know how to keep a safe distance, don't know how to brake, don't know what is "go slow" or "give way", no evidence of working bell... still have the cheek to be indignant when crashing into others. Really one kind!

They like thrill of speeding riding bicycle... They will not go slow. The only time they will go slow is when they are shag or ride uphill.

A lot of it is stupid design by government, they build the cycling path on the inner side of sidewalks, forcing pedestrian to have to cut across the cycling path to get to the pavement for pedestrian. And by nature people walking want to walk further away from the fast traffic. who want to walk on pavement that is sandwich between the cycling lane and the road. basically surrounded by fast moving traffic. That's part of the reason why u find pedestrian walking on cycling lane, because it is natural for people to gravitate to walking furthest away from faster traffic
