There of course will be a fair bit of buffer for walking pace, it probably doesn't even matter even if the cyclist is crossing at 10kmh, jogging pace.
This fella was gunning across the first signalised crossing at well over 15kmh.
edit - i just quickly calculated. 0.67 seconds (20 frames worth, the "Stats for nerds" on the youtube video details is 30 fps for the last lane closest to the kerb which is 3.5m. It was probably faster than that as he was already slowing down.
That's 18.8kmh. Absolutely no walking pace even a fastest one.
Actually can easily tell from just watching it is not 6-8kmh (8 being the fastest pace that regular pedestrians can walk), but if someone really needs an approximate ballpark figure then this is it.
