Hard to say bah

In amgmoland a car is like a fridge/washing machine/aircon.. Just another equipment/tool

In sg, a car is damn expensive and treated as a status symbol

But many ppl in sg cannot afford nice car. But can afford nice bike. So the bike is their status symbol. Which is why so many sinkie even when skill and fitness is amateur level spend above 10k for bike..correct? Compensating
True. We need some collected data to find out the proportion of both scenarios.

How come? U pervert or what?
Insomnia, need to watch more to feel sleepier.
There are clowns that go park in the rack. This remove 1 rack for residents to use. Then they anyhow park block the walk way. Don’t know which low iq scholar put the QR code to end ride at void deck. They should end their ride near rubbish chutes and not void deck since one will walk near rubbish chutes.
Clowns are everywhere. You don't punish everyone in every area where a few clowns exist. You just punish the clowns.

Shared bikes also need to be parked under shelter. The key is for scholars to design proper HDBs with proper void deck dead space.

Create new tax to tax them
Kao tim
Not feasible ba, they want lesser vehicles on the road so bicycles remain a viable transport option be it commute or leisure. No country on Earth taxes cyclists for cycling on the road anyways, otherwise govt would already implement it.

Why shared bicycles need to be parked under shelter? Public toilet no need to take care. Why need shared bicycles in the first place when the void decks are already flooded with residents’ bicycles?

Actually should also charge parking for parking in void decks. Really privatise profit and socialise cost. Want to own bicycle but don’t want to put the bicycle because it takes up space. HDB please start charging for bicycle parking

Broaden your perspectives. All kinds of people needing all kinds of services, and being sheltered from sun and rain promotes longevity of equipment.
Not too broad maybe - all kinds of decent people needing all kinds of commonsense, legal services.

Don't be so angsty as a car driver - Singapore's transport is already maximally prioritised for your comfort and time.
From latest data and conclusions on transport, the reason why you don't think so is because the more you mollycoddle and pamper the car drivers, the more people will want to drive cars, hence clogging the roads.

The more you reverse the priorities, let the densest transport options (more people per vehicle) be first in priority, then less people will want to drive cars, and the roads will clog less (still will clog at peak hours because we're a very dense city).

Good to see Singapore becoming more pro cyclists with the new bike lanes, road widening, and bridges for bicycles. Good job pap!

Chicken and egg problem. Public transport is a public good, so the government needs to set up the infrastructure fully from point A to point B before people feel that it is safe and viable to cycle to work.
And if you read threads and forums and Reddit, there are plenty already cycling, some from as far north as Marsiling to as far south as Clementi. In the cool of the morning, it's not strenuous, but you need serious balls because the safety infrastructure is simply not there, and motor vehicle drivers are generally getting more yaya and/or shiat in their driving skills.

after cycling, it's generally recommended to take a shower before work…. So there will be a serious increase of water consumption if too many people cycle to work…. water and showers facilities are not FOC…somebody will need to pay. :ROFLMAO:

Save hugely on petrol, less CO2 emissions, use a bit more water. Even if need to pay to shower, still cheaper than petrol. A no-brainer?

infra all slowly cater for cyclist yet their behavior on road has yet progress.

I say again
Road cyclists should acknowledged that drivers are as alert and cautious
so
when road cyclists are done, they are able to go home have meals with family and sleep at home.
