The fact is, that jogger don't bother to see before running across the road. He was in jogging on the spot position already, but decided to just close his eyes and dash across the road.

As for the cyclists, they are doing what we motorbikers called a Defensive Riding. You might not know, when there is a red light and all the heavy vehicles stopped, it's safer to cross and get a head start. When cars move off from stop position, they might not notice the cyclists. So we cyclist will get a head start and move off first so that the drivers can see us clearly. Hence, the cyclists are protecting the drivers by being extra careful.

The cyclists blew through the red light and you can come up with the excuse of defensive driving?

No wonder there's so much hate on cyclists.

And what you are saying is that the jogger should have given way to the cyclists who practiced defensive cycling!

Two cyclists riding along Pasir Ris Drive 3 were seen running a red light and colliding with a pedestrian.
The incident was captured by the dashboard camera of a vehicle waiting for the traffic light to turn green.

The footage was later shared on Facebook group SG Road Vigilante.
In response to queries by Mothership, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the accident on Mar. 15 at about 5:25pm.
SCDF conveyed one person to Changi General Hospital.

In the video, the cyclists can be seen running a red light before the collision took place.
A few minutes later, they ran another red light further down the road.

unfortunately TP will not do anything to penalize the law breaking cyclists.

life of a pedestrian in sinkieland is worse than cockroach. Zero protection and zero farkks given by government

actually .. this is like how a car would react if a cyclist zoom past the pedestrain crossing.

we have no time to react one.. assuming we didnt even run the red light

These 2 cyclists are black sheep la honestly, confirm in the wrong.

However, the pedestrian also got fault la but of course lesser than the cyclists.

As always in these kind of threads, the pedestrian/vulnerable one has right of way, but do you want right of way or your life? Must check before crossing la cannot just run out

I opened a thread to ask a question on how many times it took one to notice or saw the pedestrian but mod just merge into here. Mod cannot have an open mind to think if the pillars of the covered walkway could be the cause to obstructing one’s view and cause the accident.

Broaden your perspectives. All kinds of people needing all kinds of services, and being sheltered from sun and rain promotes longevity of equipment.
Not too broad maybe - all kinds of decent people needing all kinds of commonsense, legal services.

Don't be so angsty as a car driver - Singapore's transport is already maximally prioritised for your comfort and time.
From latest data and conclusions on transport, the reason why you don't think so is because the more you mollycoddle and pamper the car drivers, the more people will want to drive cars, hence clogging the roads.

The more you reverse the priorities, let the densest transport options (more people per vehicle) be first in priority, then less people will want to drive cars, and the roads will clog less (still will clog at peak hours because we're a very dense city).
Already got so many bicycles at void decks until no space to walk we do not need rental bicycles to make the situation. There is no need for rental bicycles to exists and create more problems.
