Actually slow down and look doesn’t really matter if the cyclist is reckless. Cos you could have slowed down, check clear, move off and the cyclist came out of nowhere and rammed your side. You still kenna. Especially if he gets injured.

Chances are if there is evidence nothing will happen to the driver but chances are, a car has camera to the front and to the back but not to the side so exonerating evidence will be from other car cameras which is kind of banging on luck

If you slow down at the zebra crossing and keep a lookout, it's impossible to hit the cyclist crossing the zebra crossing.

Yes. My scenario is the bicycle hit you. But now you are still in trouble especially if he is injured or dead and there is no footage from passing cars.

Car no need?... i am not saying cyclist is right though, both are wrong, but the onus is on the driver if he really hit the cyclist, and the cyclist will suffer more due to flesh covered metal.. in this case, no one wins, if i am the cyclist, i will install a bike cam and report the driver... that is how i will pwn the driver... and tbh, this situation may occur if you are a pedestrian, some drivers are juz plain egoistic to slow down and stop....

The footage then shows a cyclist who had crossed the road at the traffic junction on the right and proceeded to ride across the zebra crossing.
Although it is unclear when the driver noticed the cyclist, the car comes to a quick halt:
The cyclist then stopped riding, and moved toward the car while gesturing and shouting at the driver

but there are some who seems to keep twisting the facts, call out the car for not slowing and for stopping on the crossing but does not call out the cyclist for not slowing and stopping in time. When asked why the crossing is still visible in front of the car and what is the white stripes on the road that the bicycle is on, most will suddenly MIA

He was alert but he didn't stopped in time. He crossed the white lines according to the cyclist. The cyclist also said he honked and scolded him vulgarities. That's why the cyclist TL.

But then, it's a mistake one will commit. I ever made this mistake too. Just wave and apologise. Most will just ride away after some cursing.

U miss out the part that every cyclist pmd etc must also proceed at speed that will enable him to stop before reaching crossing and must stop and look at traffic before using.

So cyclist broke the rules and car driver reacted well to errant cyclist

sometimes difficult to gauge moving cyclist leh.....

a normal person walk, the speed is between 3kmh to 6kmh

but a cyclist can be anywhere between 10kmh to 30kmh leh.....

If you're slow, it's unlikely the bicycle will hit you unless the cyclist is blind. The problem comes when the driver "tries to beat" the cyclist, thinking he can avoid him by crossing the zebra crossing first.

This is very common at green man right turn junctions as well where some drivers like to beat crossing pedestrians by zipping pass in front of them.
