That's why I am always always intrigued and puzzled .. why Taiwan voters so easy to con? Tw voters don't seem to know what's good and practical for them ...

They are easily influenced by campaigns and slogans, and all the fluffy ideals. They are not practical or realistic at all. They earn suppressed, low wages, and that's fine.. errr? Lol.

Ke is giving them high hopes but now is not the time for Ke to be able to execute and complete his promises. It's all fluff. It will a long long long time for Ke's ideals and promises to even have a chance of realising.

How come Taiwan voters so naive and don't know? And keep buying into false hope, false promises ...?
low wages is not a problem unique to TW, and is also intertwined with global inflation. changing the governing party would not automatically solve that, but from a neutral onlooker perspective so far KMT is the worst, KMT want to open up their job market to china to help them solve their young unemployment rate, which will worsen their suppressed wages problem

Sg has long opened up our markets to the world and imported tons of endless unlimited foreign workers and talents.

Has that suppressed our wages? Lol.

Raising that example really is an overly simplistic view lol. Also I don't think KMT ever said they want to "help China solve their young unemployment rate" lolol. Why would KMT say or do that??? Lol.

Stop being too simplistic lol.

I think what would be wise is to open up and connect Taiwan's market to China and beyond, make the island like a "Singapore" of sorts, that would be the best sort of policy and scenario they are hoping for.

It's really horrible to simply use very simplistic and twisted way of saying "KMT is the worst because they want to help China solve their youth unemployment issue"

What the? When did that come from man ... lolol.

It's all false and twisted.

foreign talent has also been an issue in singapore too. which was why the government had to revisit several policies and tighten up visa requirements to reassure singaporean workers.

if you listen to ZSK and HYY direction on opening up not only the job market and university placement to china, that is exactly the result it will lead to. at this point i think KMT is doing it on purpose, they already know they do not have young voter support, might as well solidify their base voters. this kind of policies are in the face show hand saying we are a pro-china pro-reunification party. KMT probably stay as opposition too long too comfortable already, they don’t really want to win.

if they joined hands with KP back then, both could win easily, i really don’t understand why ZLL, HYY and MYJ so naive don’t want, really think they can win on their own. even GTM come out help to smooth things over they shame him in public. so this kind of opposition really deserve to lose, only want to be codriver cause its easy to criticize but cannot execute lol

learning from sg is the right step though i don’t think they can follow our model completely. in this respect, i think CYW and DPP’s bilingual strategy is a step in the right direction, cause english is the lingua fraca but average taiwanese english standard is really cmi, if they want to really unlock their market to the world. but still a long way to go for them, since even removing 文言文 their opposition also want to make so much noise. sg kids is don’t know 文言文 but business english is no problem for most and if they have the guts to step outside of the country, being able to communicate fluently in english already unlock many opportunities for them

Actually all KMT leaders want the joint P-VP partnership with KP.

Let me talk something good about KMT. They went through the shame (Terry Guo’s famous Hyatt hotel berating Hou, Chu, Ma), hoping for the last slim hope of joint partnership with KP.

However both parties want the P position, no one gives in.

So, that’s why we have this chat “KP flip table” :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

All parties (KMT and TPP) have the ego for not being the 2nd man.

And KP’s argument was all polls (except 1) showed KP leading Hou, before considering the std dev handicap to Hou.

Tw really is so split and divided after all these years of politics and direct elections ..... Opinions have become so split and warped, very hard to tell right from wrong and wrong from right ... and what's justice, everyone has their own say and own "rights" to claim they are "right".

It's really crazy and sad to see ...

KP's argument about the poll is not realistic and somewhat nonsensical, because circumstances are different. During the nego phase, people were under perception that there would be oppo unity... Ke's lead over Hou was marginal. So it should never be used as the single negotiation factor and stake, as KMT had repeatedly said.

Because if there was no oppo unity, what is Ke left of? Lol. He needed KMT's vast resources, campaigning strength, KMT's mayors and MPs who have vast more exposure than his own party...

All these add up. So how does that marginal lead over Hou during nego phase, important? And should be the one single key factor to decide he should be P?

And now without KMT ... it's very very very very likely and high chance he will be no. 3...

And even where there's no qi bao effect, he will still be no. 3 and garner maybe at best max max 25%.

So where is the lead over Hou as he and his party had maintained they had?

And under this scenario .. the horrible dpp can be guaranteed of continued power. And that's so horrible for the whole of Taiwan.

Singapore government is open leg policy so not relevant. In any case, TW uni already has exchange program that allow students from mainland to study.
Tw is a fxxk up corrupt country, former President Chen Sui Bien found guilty of corruption is allowed to serve time at home and can post FB everyday.

KP is nothing but a big mouth. His only note worthy character is integrity. His party is also not short of corrupt politicians such as 高虹安

I guess KP, on the other hand, afraid to lose his “anti-KMT” supporters if the partnership happens. This is detrimental to the growth of TPP for the future.

Anyway, this election is for DPP to lose.

Hope TPP (which I support) will grow stronger for 2028 and beyond.

I dunno about Taiwan's law and how their government works but this illegal building of Lai is really getting to the point of being freaking ridiculous.
1. Lai is current Vice President, shouldn't he as VP upheld the very basic principles of law in Taiwan?
2. Wtf is current president Cai doing about her VP disregarding the law? Why is the president keeping quiet?
3. I understand Lai property under the jurisdiction of Taipei, why isn't the mayor or relevant authorities doing anything or taking action? Illegal building just ignore or act blur because it belongs to the VP? Wtf they dun even adhere to the basic rule of the law... Like that still can be candidate for president??? Really taiwanese reasoning and acceptance of politicians doing things illegally and double standards of laws being applied is beyond me

As long as the people close one eye and still vote for them.. they can do whatever they want . same here lo.. even if white party keep on making mistakes and dun want to take responsibility but sinkies keep closing one eye and vote for them = telling them go ahead with what u doing wrong, we dun hold u responsible.

Same in USA. If Trump get voted in, means Americans dun mind him trying to overturn the election results and stealing official document and forming alliance with dictators like Putin or Kim, so Trump will continue to do that and may even declare himself forever ruler of USA

If I am the ruler and I see that whatever i do even if criminal but the citizens keep voting me in, I also want to abuse my power and become a dictator if possible.

If ppl want me to abuse them and abuse the law, then I grant them the wish lo
