I have a friend who will try his level best to order and eat all the dishes on the menu in an ala carte buffet so he won't lugi anything. He even say its stupid not to order all the dishes and eat everything on the menu.

I just laughed it off.

This is a bad analogy.

maybe for those who've children or grandchildren... it'll be meaningful but for those singles who don't, are you really aiming to retire early like 55 or 60? even if you can afford to?

that's like 15 to 20 years of doing 'nothing' before kicking the bucket based on average lifespan...

1. Count monies and see where got good lobang among banks etc
2. Play mahjong
3. Play my toy soldiers
4. Visit every nature parks in Spore
5. Take all the bus and mrt travel around Spore
6. Try out all the hawker centre in Spore
7. Develop some app for fun NOT for employer
And so many more ...

geez... Singapore is so so small even tourists don't stay more than 2, 3 days and get bored already.

most parts of Singapore is fake man-made attractions instead of "nature". even botanic gardens... sorry but I'm not really proud of that being a UNESCO site. it's heaven and earth as compared to say, machu picchu.

I've young children so will be quite occupied.
Besides i would like to learn new languages. I like to read too.
And travelling.
More importantly nurse my health (high stress job for more than a decade)

Somehow i don't think i will do nothing if i don't want to work for money.

Life is not just about work/career/money.

when i first intro tbills to henry, he was condemning like crazy. saying that tbill is a lousy thing. today even a stubborn mule like henry already deployed his 600k. look at the way he haolian that he put all in at 4.4%.

this lousy guy still blissfully collecting his 2.5%. yes, he may good at earning. he is totally hopeless in managing his cpf

the rates in oct is 3.7%. yes rates has been rising since. it seems that the people that put in in oct is damn stupid. sorry these people doing much better that your mr fantastic. taking a breakeven of 2.9% for oa. mr fantastic needs an interest of 4.6% the next round to outdo the people that went in in oct because he has been earning lousy rates for so many months. so it is mr fantastic really cannot do maths or totally ignorant that tbillls exist. his blog is worth nothing. come hwz tbills forum, read reddevil first 2 post better than read his trash

i really pity low down people that need to fire to find satisfaction. at my place, almost everyone can fire already. but no one is doing it. lower level beings can never understand this
