But anyway still slightly weird because if on good terms with "loved ones" should be able to simply ask him rather than finding out in a roundabout way.

Exactly. Lead one to think it is another of those char siew case. Want to take monies from the "loved ones" Why no backbone to ownself go outside work and earn monies? No leg no arm disabled I can understand but if body is full abled one earn his own monies not wait to take other ppl monies. I always look no up these kind of ppl. But sometimes heavens help them can you imagine!!!! No need work got inheritance take that is life.

I've reread the poster's post and believe he is asking is there anyway to know if the nomination is cash or ENS not so much whether is poster a nominee or not.
I think no one know except the account holder + CPF board.

It is confidential.

So your father not helping with the family?

and why you concern if he wouldn’t nominate you?
my father nominated me bfore his death. just want to know if the nomination was under ENS or cash.. i may sound like i just want to take the money and run but no, just want to clarify that i would like to help out my family financially as my mom is working a low income job to support myself and my 2 younger siblings. yes i may have done some illegal stuff in the past but that shouldn't define me as a bad kid who just wanna take the money and run right? thanks.

TS will know when he receive CPF notification letter. The notification letter will state ENS or cash and how much he will inherit.

hi,
would like to clarify some facts.
my dad died, thats why i turnt to this forum to ask. its not that i wouldn't ask my dad but how can i do that?
secondly, i do work part time to try make ends meet.
thirdly, instead of saying all this why can't you ask before jumping to conclusions that i just want to "take money from loved ones" like bro i literally said that it was due to financial difficulties in my family. being the oldest i obviously have to help out right? your comments honestly makes me feel like you don't think that ex offenders will change or turnover a new leaf. yes i may have ****ed up in the past doing all this **** but atleast im trying to change and help out my family right? so please don't go around jumping to conclusions thinking oh ex offender, cfm sinister, wan take money only.

Understood about your intention, but also confused about what you are saying.

you are saying that your dad has already passed? Or hasn’t?
yes he has passed on when i was 13. i received some letter from cpf regarding his cpf account back then but didn't think much of it as i was still a immature boy at that time.

Ok so your dad has passed. So like what someone mentioned above, once CPF is made aware of his passing, they will inform you of the payout.

Then why not contact cpf to ask?

the money has to be somewhere

I think it’s more about clarity about what you are asking, rather than what details you need to give.

you can provide info without going into personal details.

yes i contacted cpf and public trustees office. but still very confused whether if its under ens or cash nomination lo. i mean its a good thing if its under ens as in the future i wouldn't have to worry about buying a hse as i have funds in my cpf account but at the same time i feel like my mom deserves and needs the money more. so yea thats why i rched out if i can find out abt it
