I think it’s more about clarity about what you are asking, rather than what details you need to give.

you can provide info without going into personal details.
still quite uncomfortable sharing about my dad's death so yeaa thats why i didn't provide the details of that. quite personal to me.

yes he has passed on when i was 13. i received some letter from cpf regarding his cpf account back then but didn't think much of it as i was still a immature boy at that time.
So it has been at least 4 years that your Dad had passed on? If yes I don't think CPF nomination whether via cash or ENS drag on for so long without closure. Found this on CPF website....https://www.cpf.gov.sg/member/account-services/providing-for-your-loved-ones/making-a-cpf-nomination

Fast and convenient distribution of your CPF savings
A CPF nomination allows your nominees to claim your savings quickly and conveniently.

Without a CPF nomination, it can take up to six months for the Public Trustee’s Office to identify which of your family members are eligible to claim your savings.

If it was the Enhanced Nomination Scheme then you would see a fund transfer into your account(s). If you can log into your CPF account you can check the balances and record of transactions.

Otherwise, see here for details.

You can try to call up CPF and check again.
- Let CPF know you are a beneficiary from your Father CPF. At the point of his passing, you are a minor. You would like to know whether the beneficiary money in cash or ENS.
- Check your CPF inbox. Look out for the notification letter is in the inbox. If it is in your inbox, you want read the letter again.

yes i contacted cpf and public trustees office. but still very confused whether if its under ens or cash nomination lo. i mean its a good thing if its under ens as in the future i wouldn't have to worry about buying a hse as i have funds in my cpf account but at the same time i feel like my mom deserves and needs the money more. so yea thats why i rched out if i can find out abt it
So the authorities don't know they details or you are confused about what they told you?

oh you definitely don't have to share about your dad's death. you can always say person A, person b. etc

yes it has been 4 years. i'm also quite confused by the Enhanced nomination scheme (ENS). if its under ENS, it should be in my CPF account already right despite me being a minor. i can't withdraw it even if its in my cpf.

I could be mistaken about whether Enhanced Nomination Scheme funds are already in your CPF accounts.

If the CPF Board says the Public Trustee Office has something then you'll simply need to check with the Public Trustee Office. Their contact details are available here.

You miss my post above?

  1. If any of your nominees is below the age of 18 years at the time your CPF savings are paid out, his/her share will be forwarded to the Public Trustee's Office (PTO) for administration until he/she reaches 18 years of age.

PTO only release the fund when nominees are above 18.
I believe even ENS also the same case.
Contact PTO after you pass your 18 yrs old birthday.

Actually damn bo liao to transfer ENS funds for minors to PTO to hold till 18 and instead of earning interest in CPF end up paying admin fees to PTO.

just curious.
how many of us know ENS before this post?
And how many of us will opt for ENS instead of CASH?

I first time come across ENS.
If CPF ask me.. want cash or ENS.. 99.9% I will opt for CASH

We have to wait until 55 or 65 then can take out CPF and not all. Do we want our nominees wait long long to see the money :ROFLMAO:

It depends on individual situation. It is the very reason why some people set up trust for beneficiaries so that beneficiaries are unable to use all the inheritance in a go. Trust will manage the money and pay out regularly to beneficiaries.

For CPF nomination, there are 3 modes of leaving CPF to nominees.
- Cash
- ENS
- For special needs.

If it is cash nomination, you can login to CPF to nominate. Then select 2 witness. CPF will send notification to the 2 witness. The 2 witness will login to their SingPass (witness don't have to be beside you. They can do it by themselves at home or phone) to witness the nomination.

I've just called CPF and asked about the scenario of ENS for a minor nominee. Was assured that upon member's demise and ENS kicking in, each and every nominee even minors will receive the funds into their SA then MA or vice versa depending on the chosen mode up to the respective annual caps and if there is still more cash to be disbursed then the cash portion due to Minor will be transferred to PTO.
