Custom Watercooling [Recomendation]

Just a quick check, did anyone see a 120mm fan mount for res? My chinese is quite poor and hard to read through. Can only glance at photos.. lol. Thanks.

Thanks, but the res mounting hole is 50x50mm. BP de is 71x71mm.

This is the closest i can find though. Not sure if the slot is more than 71mm long.

The side that can mount to a 120mm fan should have enough clearance I think. The other side looks shorter and they don't give measurements..

Mounted the Bykski block this morning and found the following :

1. They didn't provide appropriate thermal pads for the voltage regulators, luckily I had 0.5mm and 1mm thermal pads from Thermal Grizzly on standby.
2. The installation manual sucks
3. The screws provided for backplate mounting were too long, I went to dig for M2 screws from my MINI4WD collection to mount the backplate.
4. Thermal Grizzly's conducnaut liquid thermal compound is a PITA to apply.

End results: despite the above I am still very happy with the Bykski block. Will post photos later.

Thanks, but the res mounting hole is 50x50mm. BP de is 71x71mm.

Will get should the L bracket not work. Coz i wanna use the 120mm fan mounting holes to mount res but perpendicularly instead of parallel to the fan rad space.

Is it ok to use back the thermal pads given by evga that are currently in used? Or need to buy new ones to install?

They provided 1.5mm thermal pads for the vrams, but no thermal pads for the voltage regulators. But I already ordered Thermal Grizzly pads as they seem better. For EVGA 1070 and 1080 FTW, you need 0.5mm for the power chokes amd 1.0mm for the voltage regulators. And if you intend to use back the stock backplate, you will need to get some M2*10mm screws.

Sometimes i think i rather buy Bitspower waterblock lol.

Cheaper than naming brands, and finishing also good, and no need to headache with thermal pads and screw differences lol. Top notch installation manual with easy to see and read. And shipping from TW is still cheap.

Thats why i bought the r9 fury X from them instead of supporting EK back then. I paid premium for it back then, as im the first one whom gotten hold of it. $189sgd with back plate. Till lately i found out that their fury x water block and back plate went down to $160.

But really, quality wise, it is great from Bp TW. Cant go wrong with them either.

But overall to each of their own. If saving a couple more bucks but have to find screws and thermal pads etc on your own, then by all means go ahead.

But im more towards, easier installation guide, and everything well provided.

Thats how i asked Lily to help me do blocks for my Fury X back then lol. It sounds shameless when there is no block on their inventory lol. But just email in and asked. Waited about a month for it and gotten it before they announce/launch.

Remove the molex power cable for pump, plug in 8 pin cpu and 24 pin mobo cables. If its X99 mobo, mount a gpu for display. Put in ur rams and OS drive to test. Can it still boot?

Thanks for the suggestion. Will try it when i dismount tomorrow morning. But the last i tried to boot it with ram 24 pin 8 pin and onboard graphic doesnt work. I remove pump ssd etc. But i will try again. No harm trying a few more times before i dismantle and ask shop for help.
