Custom Watercooling [Recomendation]

Ps to ask again,

see a few members using 1x slim 360mm radiator to cook radiator and 1 CPU.

It it enough if want to overclock both CPU and gpu. Or is it better to add another 120mm radiator?

Single 360mm slim radiator.

It is just minimal you need to go. Depends on which cpu you choose. X99 usually can be very hot depending on how high you wanna hit.

But so far im hovering around 60plus on 4.5ghz 1.256v overclocked. Gpu can hit anywhere around 63degC.

If i pull down to 4.2ghz at 1.125v my cpu never hit 52degC.

Gpu turn out to be hotter than cpu for that case lol.

But if you are coming in from skylake/kabylake. It is less worrying on the cpu side. Gpu should be hotter.

Don't really want to open up my top covers of my Define S if possible haha, don't have dust filter at top and My house very dusty.

So considering to do 120mm at back (exhausting) and 360mm at front (intake) if need be. (Hope don't fry my mobo)

Fan settings are purely depending on fpi of your radiators.

The higher fpi anywhere between (13 to 18) you will need a high static pressure fans to push that much air through it. The rpm indeed needed to push more air through.

For my case im using GT fans for my Hardware Labs nemesis gts 360. High fpi and restrictive radiator. Idle at around 1500rpm. While on gaming load, fan will hit 1800rpm which is optimal for my radiator, and for other cpu stressful applications, my fans will peaked out 2200rpm.

1800rpm on GT? Nope. Not unless you are in a total silent room or at night.

Remember, radiator is something you must look into when buying in a watercooling loop. Skimp on quality your temps also will take a hit.

But remember one thing, it is not the thickness of the radiator that matters, more on surface area of the radiator*.

Since you are using the define S. Try to use the top rad and the front rad will do. Go for dual 360mm if you can. Top slim rad, but front can go slightly thicker. This would be the best setup in both temps and higher cooling capacity.
