I think your case should be similar to this example. To get into the mthly transaction band above $5K, you will need to either make an investment of $1k or spend CC at least $1K/mth or til a huge salary raise.

But actually the wonder of this account is that even if you spend only $1, it auto shifts to the next '2 transactions' category with +0.3% interest which is quite substantial, considering base savings rate at only 0.05%.

You can play around with the calculator to find the optimum investments. You can see the moment you remove the $1 spend on CC, your interest rate drops back to 0.5%. The key thing from the bank's perspective is they want you to either spend thru cc/paylah! or invest in their products.

semi. there's portfolio manager involved and typically rebalances every quarter.

the quarterly is fixed. quarterly review.

others like syfe and SA are reactionary. there's no fixed schedule.

Oh ya could be but i thk syfe reits have to track the iedge closely… the iedge s-reits made changes quarterly
And do note that syfe didnt blindly follow them, they have some minor differences from the actual iedge
