If we receive 1X points in may, am I right to expect the 9x to come in Jun?

The reason why many banks exclude these items is they don't earn any revenue on them anyway. So that means with the cashback or miles they are giving you, they are actually losing money. Which is likely why the clamp down. Blame visa / Mastercard who determine the revenue banks get from each category

yeah true i guess, i think they earn revenue, i mean at the end of the day you are still spending 2k to top up fevo/imagine. so thats 2k on your dbs womens MC. probably didn't expect to dish out so many miles.

what they should do is reduce the number of miles that can be earned from doing topups rather than completely eliminating it

If ure referring to previous FEVO top up before the new tnc kicked in, and you received 1x points already, then by right u Shld be eligible for the 9x.. Since by right the exclusions should not even give u a single point.

But I'm not sure if this new tnc would affect the 9x if it took effect between u earning 1x and 9x.

If we receive 1X points in may, am I right to expect the 9x to come in Jun?

In my uneducated opinion DBS have broken the Association of Banks in Singapore Code of Consumer Banking by changing the TNCs without notifying customers in advance.
http://abs.org.sg/docs/library/code-of-consumer-banking-practice.pdf

The code provides for a complaints procedure of which the first step is to phone or email the bank. If you are not happy about this change let DBS know! iBanking makes it easy to email them...
