i think Dell the only brand that provide OS CD[Software].

The good thing with the Dell CD is you do not have to hit F6 to install SATA driver with floppy.

i couldn't connect wifi connection on my lappy. dell helpdesk only after 6pm.

yes, even can see mine full bar but just cannot connect. I've check the intel wireless chipset,there is a cross, wonder is tat the problem. hardware spoil?

1. Do not use the following SSID e.g. Linksys, Dlink or default.

2. Try other channel e.g. 1, 6, or 11.

no, cause all the while using channel 1, Just use my e65 to surf wifi, no problem at all.

Now downloading the Intel (R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN.

i got 1 more problem, when i disable my thumbdrive on the icon, the thumbdrive still light up. issit common for lappy. My desktop will turn off when safer to remove icon appear.

Ok, aft install the intel driver connection; it work but aft some tried. abit xiao ...

U mean the thumbdrive light never go off aft disconnect safe to remove icon come out, is a vista bug?????

i waited 3 weeks for my set...ordered on 30th June. delivered last thursday.

of cos, I called to complain...first they told me it was due to shortage of graphic chip..
last week when I called,,,the staff said was due to the lack of blue cover .....

then again...I ordered it during the initial launch , probably due to the global launch. they cant managed.

btw...do u know of any software to test out if the graphic card in 1420 is truly dedicated 128 MB ? ( I assumed u added in the nvidia graphic chip)...

After reading today article on ST forum where a guy complained of false representation on the Sony VAIO's graphic card's video ram. I believed it happened to other makers too.
