nope. I had a one year warranty. Expired in June only. So unlucky!

Which model was yours? My Inspiron 6000 cannot power up at all and was quoted $971 to change the motherboard... Siao!

I told the Dell fellow can go fly kite.

Maybe you can pass me your motherboard....lol.

Try getting a second hand LCD same model and replace...

If you renew your warranty (with a penalty), they'll repair it for you at a reasonable price.

Call and get more info.

Hi guys,

My office's new Dell CSO gives us quite a good corporate price for bulk purchase.
I was thinking if i could help forumers here get a discount if i could consolidate your laptop purchases.
Saves on freight as well.

Wanna test the response, please post what you want to buy (preferably everyone decide on a common model) and i'll see how much discount is given.

When it comes to payment, someone will have to come out with the money first. And is your office going to absorb the 7percent GST? They can claim back in 3mths.

It is a kind gesture by you. I am just wondering in the end, will it be worth your effort?

I think color plays a part and the customization of the parts. You can check with the sales person which colors are available now. I got my white one within 7 days from order. The only customization i have is the N wireless card, rest are default.

It could be like a MO where i'm just requesting quotes on behalf of forumers if you guys are interested.
You can have a look at the quotes and divide the price evenly to consider.
Once ready then someone gather the money and issue payment to Dell, you guys get the stocks.
I'm just doing negotiations and helping our regular CSO with his sales.
