It would be of a great help if anyone could help me confirm the following.
The screen on my 1420 died and a Dell engineer recently swaped the LCD with a new one. He was rather clumsy I must say. I now find that when apply some pressure on the right side of the palm rest (to be more specific, about one finger to the right after the intel and and vista logo and one finger above from there), it goes down slightly. The arrow keys also go down very slightly with it. I understand it might be because the DVD-ROM drive is directly below and thus it goes down. Since I only discovered this after the repair work, I'm just feeling uneasy. Afterall, I don't see that happening to my friend's Acer notebook.
Thanks.
Irfan
