It would be of a great help if anyone could help me confirm the following.

The screen on my 1420 died and a Dell engineer recently swaped the LCD with a new one. He was rather clumsy I must say. I now find that when apply some pressure on the right side of the palm rest (to be more specific, about one finger to the right after the intel and and vista logo and one finger above from there), it goes down slightly. The arrow keys also go down very slightly with it. I understand it might be because the DVD-ROM drive is directly below and thus it goes down. Since I only discovered this after the repair work, I'm just feeling uneasy. Afterall, I don't see that happening to my friend's Acer notebook.

Thanks.

For those who are interested. I have just receive my Dell 5520 Mobile Boardband mini-card. Just in time for X'Mas fun.

Check out the photos here.

Happy holiday and a Merry Christmas.

Hi Cyberian,

I recently got purchase the Dell 5520 module from ebay UK.
However, I couldn't get it to have any signal.

I have tried both starhub and singtel. Both to no avail.

I have saw your pictures. I realise that it is AT&T (cingular). I have download the driver from DELL support but to no avail. However, I realise that even though I downloaded Cingular... the pictures still shows DELL (compare to your AT&T). The wierdiest thing is that none of the Profiles in the Profile manager shows AT&T but mostly vodafone. (have redownload a few times)

Can you kindly send me your driver for Dell 5520?

Appreciate if you could help.

Mine flexes abit too if you apply pressure. Think it's normal.

... silly me. I didn't plug in the cables for the antenna. No wonder it is not working.
But surprisingly, even without the antenna, the modem can detect STARHUB GPRS from time to time.

Hey,
Bought an XPS 1330 from US.
The problem is the power plug is a 3-prong type (1 round with 2 vertical). It is detachable from the charger.
I tried charging XPS1330 with a PA12 charger (from D620) and it works.

Does anyone know where to get a compatible power plug to replace the one from USA?
Can swap or not from Dell SG? :p

Thanks.

And I love my M1530. Best laptop that I have ever had to date, all things considered. Changed my OS to Windows XP and it's zip zip zip!

Hi guys, i was checking Dell Singapore website...seems like there's only Smoke Gray and Sapphire Blue for the XPS M1730. What happened to Crimson Red and Bone White? Were these 2 colours ever available over here? Thanks :)

hi... erm for d630 one ram is under keyboard another below. 2GB ram for me is sufficient. I guess maybe you can try change to 3gb instead, for a start.
