Volume loud battery life ok but big like PSP..looks funny.

Actually I feel this phone is neither here nor there n hate the fact was designed for landscape use. It fees funny in my hand.

Hi Everyone,

Currently deciding to buy HTC Desire HD or Dell Streak?

Is the battery life on Streak good? Can it last more than a day?

Is the volume loud?

Because from what i read on Desire HD forum, the batt life is quite bad and vol very soft.

My Streak can last me 7hr of continuos driving with AutoPilot navigation software running without any external power source when I was in NZ recently. For me the speak is loud enough to be used for handfree when driving.

As for DesireHD, I don't own one so can't comment. But I used the old Desire, the battery and the speaker sound is the worst phone I had. Battery life can't even last 1/2 without usage and the speaker sound compressed and high pitch. Sold off the Desire for Streak.

Just 1 more question, read from HWZ review saying the touch sensitive buttons are not sensitive at all.

Is it true? Like is it very hard to get the buttons to work?

I feel the opposite is true....the touch button on the side(right) was too sensitive. b'cos sometimes when I take / put the phone into my pocket, i'll accidentally touch the button and the phone was activited / vibrate when it is locked.

I would prefer a normal button than a touch button.

just received a call from SH that the shipment will be delayed (excuse??).
delivery start from 15th dec. Self collect possible from Funan from 13 Dec. Is SH/DELL trying to make all buyers gather at Funan for publicity stunt?
first they made us pre-order, then now.. *sigh*

oh, best part, they are doing nothing to compansate their "mistake".

10 dec. I'm pissed with SH already. Can't a big telco honor what they say? Oh, then I realized that those that pre order at suntec can only collect on 13 dec onwards. However, anyone else can buy from any SH outlets on 11 dec. WTF? Excuse was shipment for voucher & speakers are delayed. Lame?

according to SH, the reason for the delay was they couldn't get the freebies on time. so i guess the freebies will be delivered together during your collection.

if you have not done your preorder, you can purchase it from any SH outlet on Saturday onwards.
if you have done your preorder, you can only collect on 13 dec onwards, only at funan roadshow.
if you want them to deliver to you, it'll be from 15 dec onwards. btw, the 15 dec slot is full since yesterday. question is will you trust them again?

so, personally, i think it's better to make a trip down to funan to collect on 13 dec. while stock last...

but i received call from SH today, she said shipment delayed, and did not provide any next collection date. She even said "collection date may be next month"

Tell me tech problem and cannot collect on Monday.
Told them this drop my confident level.
disappointed that SH cannot deliver or really more scary tech problem.

Just received a call 1 minute ago, telling me that there are some delivery issues and they will call me back next week to inform me when will the delivery resume...And when I asked about self-collection, the lady told me that I can self-collect...Only after they call me back next week to inform me about more details..Sigh...Guess I'll have to wait till Xmas to open my present
