This notice appears on chn 700, 701, 702.

Yup, I also noticed that...

they put on CNA and CH U
whereas other channels don't have from CH 8 to CH5 to malay and indian channels.

hmmm I wonder they will boast their signal

because my side got blind spot...which affect the HD signal.

They put on CNA, CHU and OKTO, which is 700, 701, 702. This 3 moving to 006, 007, 008. All these original channels used by them. The other channels not affected so dun have I guess.

I called mediacorp to feedback just now. coz my place:
1. indoor signal strength very bad
2. the 570Mhz channels signal quality very bad even when I put my antenna beside the windows. I did a manual search, the signal quality and strength never goes above 40 (out of 100).

STB with DVB-C tuner is still too expensive, wouldn't been considering buying anytime soon as already got cheap DVB-T2 STB, and T230 USB TV stick which support DVB-C as well.

I have the T230 usb stick. But the software does not allow me to choose between dvb-c or dvb-T2. If connect it to my wall socket, it scanned tonnes of channel encrypted and non encrypted ones. How can I tell which channels are dvb-t2 or dvb-c?

SCV point do not carry DVB-T2 signal. As for scanning of non-encrypted (basically FTA) channels, it depend on the software used. Some allow scanning only for FTA and non-encrypted channels, unfortunately TotalMedia is not one of them.

Are you using an active antenna?

Haha, Mediacorp tech uncle just called me. He also asked if I am using passive or active antenna. Mine is passive since no USB connection. He is loaning me a Funke antenna to test at my home.

Earlier you are having difficulty receiving it. Mediacorp may have enhanced the signal. In general, this funke antenna quite good but not very cheap.

It's definitely the antenna. Before that I was using other antenna reception was weak but after getting the funke, reception improved. ;)

i bought a digital ready tv also, just bought an indoor antenna but cannot receive the supersports arena free channel from starhub... isit normal?

Supersports arena is currently not being carried on DVB-T2. You might want to petition/feedback over to StarHub/MDA to carry the channel over.

Of course normal lah. SuperSports Arena is only available via either DVB-C or analog when connected to StarHub's TV point. U use indoor antenna how can it be connected to StarHub's TV point? The signals aren't transmitted through the air unlike MediaCorp's DVB-T2 signals. :s22:
