For 7800xt what the min PSU watt needed?

minimum recommended is 700W based on AMD reference specs.
however, some board partners recommend 750-800W, do check with the specific card you are getting.

some people say they can get away with 600-650W, but best play safe

I was planning to build my own rig and after comparing the price with builders like aftershock and invader, i found the price is actually cheaper.

Should i go with Invaderpc? Please advice?
prebuilts are generally very price competitive, though of course some corners would be cut to achieve those prices. usually these cuts come in the form of lower grade parts of everything besides the cpu and gpu, which dont necessarily take away from the performance overall but does mean u are not getting the best parts. if u just want a pc, prebuilts are fine but i do encourage diy for the experience. u can also find a sample build in the first post.
Any specific models of mini pc for my wife to recommend?

I've only built mATX or ATX builts, so have no experience with small PCs haha

manufacturer recommended values usually include quite a bit of headroom. the 7800xt generally pulls about the same if not slightly less power than a 2080ti, which work fine on 650w. amd recommended 700w with a 7950x, so for most users with lower power cpus 650w should be enough.

Gonna be doing both since is my home pc, I don't play much AAA though. Is X3D worse for work stuff? My friend who also does 3D has another AMD CPU (5 something) and it supposedly works well for him so I wanted to try out.

it depends on what work you do, video conversion/editing, live streaming, adobe photoshop or running AI. If heavy duty, X3D will affect , if it is just light work like spreadsheets, X3D not going to affect it.

Gotcha (y) looking into i7 12700 too, is KF ok or do I want the igpu?
most ppl leave the igpu as a backup or a troubleshooting, would depend on your self.
KF unless u are overclocking there is no use.
and yes 12gen is upgrade limited
unless u can wait for the new intel gen around the bend....
but at the moment it would be better going for AMD am5
