Hmm.. 2 sticks of 8gb ram can run dual channel, but he add 1 stick of 4gb ram then all become single channel?
coz i see 8gb i will think only 1 stick of ram.. should add one more
if not u can just get 2nd hand 2 x 8gb
now i see all this i feel so happy that i choose 32gb when i build my 5600 pc

A pricing sense check here:

Cosair Vengeance RGB CL30 6000 2x16GB
Thermalright Core Vision 360 ARGB AIO
MSI B850Gaming Plus Wifi
Superflower Leadex VI Platinum Pro 850W
AMD 9800X3D
Sapphire Pulse 9070XT

Total $2,569

Somehow InvaderPC looks more economical (of course certain parts here are better) and no need to build.

How to know if these are compatible with my current case?

Imo if you spending 2.6k, might as well go for a 5070ti, the 9070xt and 5070ti not too far in price now. 9070xt more overvalued than the 5070ti. How much extra for a 5070ti?

Hi guys, not sure if it's appropriate to ask this here but I don't really want to create a new thread for what might be a simple qn.

I just bought a RTX 5070ti and Superflower Leadex VI Plat Pro PSU. I realized the GPU requires the new 12VHPWR connector which the PSU does not have. Can I just order a 2x 9-pin to 12VHPWR adapter online, will that work?

Zotac Solid SFF OC. I ordered online, haven't rcv it yet. But I just checked online and it seems they do include the adapter. Thanks for reminding.

Would it be recommended to just get the 9pin to 16pin directly from superflower though? One less cable/adapter to deal with.

hi all, seeking some help and advise

had just completed my 2nd diy build after 10 years with asus rog strix z890 e gaming motherboard and intel ultra 265k but facing some problems as below

- able to boot into bios and proceeded to update to latest bios version 2006
- bios update completed and turned on xmp profile for ram and ai overclocking
- bios hanged and restarted but black screen throughout with fans spinning and then auto shut down
- managed to load into bios after some time but will hang and auto shut down again
- cpu temp recorded in bios was hitting 92 or 93 degrees where temp warning was also seen during post screen
- subsequent power on will always lead to auto shut down
- seeing q code error 50, 53 and some other error codes which i cannot remember
- q led seeing red and yellow at times during powering on and auto shut down
- had done a cmos reset with no further troubleshooting done

ram is using teamgroup xtreem 7200mhz which is not qvl listed for this motherboard

aio using deepcool lt360 applied with arctic mx6 (X pattern application) on cpu ihs and when removed the aio pump, found that the thermal paste was not evenly spread out and was lumping more to the edges of the ihs itself and aio cold plate, which means there is no thermal paste on the center of the ihs and the cold plate was extremely hot after cleaning off the thermal paste, so am suspecting that i had over screw in the aio pump to the mounting bracket causing too much pressure which led to the thermal paste being forced to the sides of the ihs and cold plate

for the interim, had purchased another set of klevv cras v ram which is in the motherboard qvl list and a new arctic liquid freezer pro aio, will use the included mx6 again and hope to have a better installation with this new set and waiting for honeywell ptm7950 to arrive as a backup measure

can anyone help advise if the symptoms observed was mainly due to the incompatible ram installed and cpu overheating and not the other components
following up to my issue, had installed the arctic aio without over tightening both screws to the mounting bracket and did not encounter anymore cpu high temp warning, a gd experience learnt so far with the all advices received here

the teamgroup xtreem ram was able to reach the 7200mhz speed after activating xmp profile even though it is not in the qvl so now stuck with another pair of klevv cras v ram 😂

either is fine, this gpu wont ever encounter the burning connector issue due to low power draw. If you treat the 12VHPWR as a 300W connector, you won't ever face the burning connector problem
