setting aside 2k -2.5k for all items below. Based on a quick browse on biz gram price list here as some avg prices

Cpu and motherboard Asus tug x670e and 7800x3d - $1381 (just realised this chip is not out yet. This price list Canot trust hahaha. But willing to wait since will be on holiday for next 3 weeks till April))
Ram - 32gb - gskill flare expo ram - $230
Ssd - 1tb - wd850x $168
Aio Cooler - $200 budget
Case - $250 budget
No need for fancy lights

Any recommendation for the price point? Should I lower the cpu expectations for a better motherboard ?
i would suggest to first compare prices from different shops; no idea why so many ppl latch on to just bizgram, their prices are quite bad compared to other sls shops. u may also not gain any additional value going x670e, for most people b650 is more than enough at a much lower price point. best if u get high speed low latency ram, but x3d chips are less sensitive to memory compared to regular zen4. u can get arctic liquid freezer ii aios for cheap as suggested in some builds, and i have left some case recommendations too.
what psu would you guys recommend?
for rx570 system, a low power psu ~500w will suffice. if u have the budget, best to get a quality unit like seasonic focus, corsair rm/rmx/txm, or any super flower unit sold locally.
would this is a ok deal?

for a 12400 combo looks ok, but for gaming, u should be able to get the same level of performance with a ryzen 5 5600 and mobo for much cheaper. take note locked intel cpus cannot reach 3600mhz ram speed in gear 1.

Hi all, I'm building a new pc to replace my 11yo pc :D and I use www.userbenchmark.com to help me configure but it states that the Asus TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS (WI-FI) mb is incompatible with the SSD below. Can anyone suggest another mb with wifi that works with this PC config and support 4x SATA 6 Gbps HDDs and the 2TB/4TB SSB below? I use the pc mainly for work (eg excel files >50mb), video/graphic editing and causal gaming (hope to play those AAA titles like Elden Ring at 60fps which my current PC cannot run at all). I will be using the new PC with my existing 27" monitor and I'm fine with 1080p resolution.

Any suggestion on casing (prefer non-bulky/simple/minimalist look casing with no fancy lights) and PSU is most welcome too.

I hope to keep the full set with casing (able to mount 4x SATA HDDs inside), PSU & activated Win11 home oem version within $1.2k-1.5k, many thanks.

the rx570 is just for currently, i would upgrade later after the price come down abit, so for the psu i am looking round the 650w range, but 12400 vs 5600 the prices dont have much diff.

dont use that website, it is very biased against amd for some reason. and i wouldnt see how the sn850x would be incompatible with that mobo, so now we know that website is also garbage for factual info. that mobo is a good pick by the way. if u want to see part compatibility, u can go pcpartpicker.
Any suggestion on casing (prefer non-bulky/simple/minimalist look casing with no fancy lights) and PSU is most welcome too.
u can pluck any of the psus recommended for the midrange rig and above, or the models i mentioned to deepblue_82. there are also case recos at the bottom of op.
so for the psu i am looking round the 650w range
the models i mentioned have 650w units.
but 12400 vs 5600 the prices dont have much diff.
from dynacore (but applicable to most sls shops):
ryzen 5 5600 + gb b550m aorus elite - 383
core i5 12400f + gb b660m aorus elite d4 - 459
that is a very substantial difference (20% premium for intel) given the similar level of performance. thats why for my recommendations they are mostly 5600, would have wanted to include more intel but not worth the higher price imo.

Hi all, my friend and I are looking to get a new PC. Main purpose is for work, media consumption(video/music, stream YT/Twitch on 2nd monitor) and play games casual game (and maybe some AAA title like Elden Ring?)

Below are some choices that I came up with after reading up (price are from dynacore). Trying to keep everything under $1400 if possible. If there are better alternative for my choices, feel free to let me know. Thanks!

Gigabyte Aorus B550M Elite + RYZEN 7 5700X - 470 (is this combo good?)
G.SKILL RIPJAWS V 3600Mhz CL18 32gb - 128 (is 32gb overkill for the usage?)
Zotac Gaming RTX3060Ti Twin Edge 8GB GDDR6X - 575 (best value for 1080/1440p?)
PSU - Please help recommend a reliable one
Casing - any decent looking case that can fit my MB above?
Casing fan - If casing come with any, do i need more? If doesn't, what are some good recommendation?
CPU fan - not sure which are good, please help
Storage - reusing current Crucial 2.5" SSD 1TB

its ok. however, if u are able to find the asrock b550m pro4 or msi b550m pro vdh wifi in stock for about the same money, they would be better choices. u may also be able to save some money going for the 5600, as there would likely be no noticeable uplift in performance going for the 5700x in the tasks u mentioned.
G.SKILL RIPJAWS V 3600Mhz CL18 32gb - 128 (is 32gb overkill for the usage?)
might be overkill.
Zotac Gaming RTX3060Ti Twin Edge 8GB GDDR6X - 575 (best value for 1080/1440p?)
if u can find the 6650 xt for about 420 (not sure if the asus dual deal is still going on), that would far and away be the better value pick.
PSU - Please help recommend a reliable one
u can see my reply to tyrone above.

there are a few case recommendations at the bottom of first post.
Casing fan - If casing come with any, do i need more? If doesn't, what are some good recommendation?
for this tier of build, probably not if ur case comes with 2 or more fans.
CPU fan - not sure which are good, please help
u can consider the id cooling se 224 xt @ 45 or the thermalright peerless assassin 120 @ 75 from dynacore, though u will need to confirm case compatibility with the latter. if u do decide to go with the 5600, the stock cooler is enough.

hi guys, planning to get the following
Coolermaster NR200P Max
i5 13600K+ Asus Strix Z790-I or Asus Strix B760-I
Asus Tuf Gaming RTX4070Ti OC
WD Black SN850X
Crucial P5 Plus
Read that the B760-I will require undervolting to keep temps low and the 2nd M.2 will be limited as there isn't enough lanes, is that true?

only gonna use it for gaming and day to day net surfing

not too sure about the first one, but i dont think the 2nd claim is true. sure the slot is connected to the chipset instead of the cpu but it is still pcie 4 x4 bandwidth.

this looks very overkill. i would personally go with ryzen 7000 non x with a decent air cooler, matx b650m board and a tecware fusion, which is not that much larger but significantly cheaper with more performance in gaming.

yes. imo ideally gpu should take up half ur budget, and those cards (esp the 3070) are the best value right now under 1k.
also which cpu would be good to pair with this tier of gpu?
a ryzen 5 5600 or core i5 12400 should be plenty. u can refer to the midrange pc build that is suggested for that budget with both a 5600 and a 3070.

Managed to buy the following during Lazada sale

aorus b650 elite ax
Deep cool Ls720 (arctic freezer 360mm all sold out)
H7 flow case

now shopping for my cpu/ram/nvme

seems like Amazon USA has much cheaper price for the following
2tb sn850x
32gb gskill 6000mhz cl30
7950x
5 pack of p12 pwm fan
Psu extension cables
Including expedited shipping and Tax approx SGD1.3k

was wondering if indeed Amazon is the “cheapest” place to get as compared to local stores?

Lol i also bought the some of same from Amazon US
2x 2tb SN850x
32gb gskill 6000mhz cl30 EXPO

Slightly cheaper, not sure what is the warranty status.. But these are "cheaper" items, so take the risk. The only thing is they shipped each items in a relatively large bubble envelope, all 3 boxs have slight crush but lucky not near the item.

Thanks Bro Raven for the tips. I did more research and should be more or less decided with the below. Probably can go all with Dynacore for bundle discount.🤭

I think if RX 7800 or 7700 comes out, I may consider them too.

ryzen 5 7600 + gigabyte b650m ds3h$ 654Tradepac
or core i7-13700f + asus tuf gaming b660m plus wifi d5$ 757dynacore
scythe fuma 2 rev b$ 84dynacore
gskill flare x5 2x 16gb 6000c36 ddr5 expo$ 249dynacore
wd black sn850x 1tb$ 169dynacore
zotac rtx 4070 ti trinity$ 1,238Dynacore
or powercolor rx 7900 xt hellhound$ 1,449PC Themes
Leadex III Gold 850W$ 162Tradepac
Tecware Flatline$ 52dynacore
AMD Rig$ 2,819.00
Intel Rig$ 2,711.00
Hi,

I see that Amazon is selling 7600X at $350, about $13 more than the 7600 non-X. If I get the 7600x, would the B650m DS3H still be the recommended motherboard to pair together?

Also, would getting it from the US be advisable? Other than the warranty or RMA to consider?

depends. sometimes local with sale can be very competitive, some more get local warranty. u sure those prices in sgd tho? amazon us default currency is usd. i would highly recommend getting the 7950x used off carousell tho, u basically lose nothing while saving a lot of money (i see a few listings near $700 compared to $850+ brand new from amazon us/sg) and helping a fellow pc enthusiast clear parts.

no change.

if u get from amazon, likely international warranty. i will still recommend getting used or locally, saw a few carou listings for 7600x near $300.

i saw the mobo listing, looks like they are selling china set and providing shop warranty and not local distro warranty. if u are ok with that and u like the aesthetic then just go for it, though personally i would go for a local set asrock b550m/ac for about the same price. as for the cpu, again look on carou, can get under $200.
How come micron say there's inventory correction but the prices in Singapore didn't drop
price wont change so fast one. esp in sg, sometimes price drop never comes.

You are right, Carousell has ryzen at a decent price

I ended up just getting the ram and nvme
I’ll pick up the processor once the items arrive. Maybe 7800x3d will be avail by then
