Yes, theres an option to hardwire it.

I printed it myself. I got a 3D printer. Cost of the material, time n electricity
May i know how to hard wire it please? Do i neeed to get additional wires/adapters etc? Or i can just leave it to the electrician and he will know how to hard wire it.

Thanks!

Have you considered Arlo? It’s available locally. I’m waiting to see what Arlo offer with touch-less technology.

I’m surprised that no one has reviewed the Arlo here.

I chat with Arlo Support before and they said they have an electrician who installs Arlo video door bells. If you buy from them, they probably will refer you an electrician.
Thanks. i did consider Arlo but didn't do a deep dive on it. Just based on youtube and online reviews, seems that Eufy edged out among the contenders.

About it's touch-less technology, maybe i'm skeptical about the tech, and i don't see much value-add from it as well.

Anyone have an electrician to recommend for installing Nest Hello? I don't seem to be able to connect the Nest Hello to the HDB doorbell chime. Thanks.

Hi, just to check are we allowed to drill holes outside of our HDB unit to mount the wireless doorbell?

The greater issue is if it can record audio or video , you need to submit a request to HDB for approval for limited given period.

For those who uses wired version of video doorbell (e.g. Ring, Eufy), did you remove the existing doorbell switch and place the video doorbell over the same position?

Would the wall cavity be visible since the doorbell switch dimension is bigger than the video doorbell?

Used plaster to cover over.

Does anyone actually apply for permission for such video doorbells with recordings especially the Google Nest Hello?

I did. Got myself a police report documentation, emailed and complained gao gao to MCST until they let me fix both a smart cam and smart doorbell.

You must have naughty neighbours.

One of the reasons I still haven’t bought a wired video doorbell and installed is - neighbours. Worry that they complain about privacy. I might end up getting the Ring Peephole Video Doorbell. If they complain, I just remove and sell it off.

Suspected was one of the Airbnb guests.

Buy a blank plate to cover. Drill a hole put the nest hello over it.

I bought this bracket from Shopee and it is able cover the original surface box for the doorbell, without doing any modifications.
