Can also consider the Eufy doorbell. Costs a little more than the Ring 2, but it has the advantage of not needing any subscription (technically Ring 2 also works if you don't subscribe, but you lose some functionality).

Having said that, I am a satisfied Ring 2 user myself.

May i check is the sd card plugged into the door bell itself? Which mean if stolen, sd card also gone?

The box itself has 2 items, 1st item is doorbell camera which is outside, 2nd item wifi chime which is indoor, the sd card is at your wifi chime

on the app itself, 3 main function i find useful.
live view, cloud storage (not immediate, will take some time) SD card storage viewing (Immediate) You can download the footage to your phone on the app.

Been using for about 6 months.

Live viewing doesn't really work for me. I only use it to see who's in front of the gate because I have an access area after the gate so the peephole doesn't work.

Maybe it's because China servers lag when sending back to SG. Sometimes it's fast when using certain versions of the Mi Home app.

Not sure if the other Youpin camera is better?

Tks bro. Means have to buy Ring 2 or 3 since its live viewing is stable

Ring Video Doorbell Pro

I'm thinking of getting this device.

- since the device is located outside, will there be any issue with wifi connectivity?

- is there a sd card for recording triggered motion detector?

- is it difficult to install?

- is this a good and worthy device for its price?

Hard to say because it also depends on the distance between the intended location of the Ring and your Wifi router. Maybe you can use another device to test the signal strength first.

No, it doesn't use SD cards.

It is very easy to install. I got it drilled to the wall outside my apartment, next to the gate.

It works very well but I would also like to highlight 2 things
1) You will likely want to subscribe the Basic plan to have access to all the features. https://shop.ring.com/pages/protect-plans

If you don't want any subscriptions, the Eufy may be a good alternative.

2) The battery takes a while to charge. You may want to purchase an additional battery so that you can just swap one out for charging. If not, your doorbell will be battery-less while you charge it.

Ya la, also most cams are to provide a better view of your doorstep without squinting through a hole right. Now, most video doorbell cameras offer superior quality. Most popular video doorbells offer a 1080p high definition video for a clear view – just as good as high-tech TVs.

1) When I first set it up, wifi was patchy. I had to move my router about 2 meters closer to the doorbell to solve the problem. Now my router is about 1.5m away from the doorbell but separated by a brick wall and a layer of glass. But the connection is solid now. I suggest you think about that if you're renovating.

2) No SD card. It records directly to the cloud, which is why a good wifi connection is crucial. Having a good wifi connection also affects how fast you get notifications on your phone. Yes, I subscribe to the basic plan.

3) Not hard to install at all. If you're talking about the Pro model, you MUST buy a power supply which would solve all our problems. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/OhmKat-Video-Doorbell-Power-Supply/dp/B07FDJM7WB/ref=sr_1_3?crid=ME766D8F8SN5&dchild=1&keywords=ring+pro+power+kit+for+doorbell+pro&qid=1586045643&sprefix=ring+pro+power+%2Caps%2C355&sr=8-3

4) I've been using it for 2.5 years. Totally worth it and life changing even.

I am using that. Battery drain too fast
.this week I gonna change to rechargable battery and see how long it can go.
Response is ok. Is just the notification when someone pressed the door bell. I always don't received it even if I on the notification and offed the gentle notification and make it appear on lock screen.

Xiaomi doorbell does not work at all in Singapore. No live feed. Latency is extremely bad. No doorbell pressed notification too.. also because latency is bad.

Until Xiaomi sets up their server here (alike their home cameras), this problem cannot be resolved.

Battery life is also horrible. 2 weeks only using rechargable batteries.

Overall.. this product FAIl in Singapore. Xiaomi gotta do better
