Like to know if anyone used or using the botslab 360 X3 too. Decent price range with extendable battery solution.

Used this few months back. I would say the quality of the video is clear and sharp. However, the reason I changed is because they claimed it can be connected to Google Home, I managed to connect it successfully but its not showing the live feed of the doorbell if you voice command it. Motion detection is also not working as intended. Basically its not detecting any motion if someone walk past it. The only 1 thing work for me is doorbell, if someone presses the door bell, it will record.

I am using this too...motion detection is working ok for me...maybe you did not adjust the sensitivity and the motion range?

I like it as my whole family can access to same device once I share to them under their own account

so far so good for me for the price point

Tried adjusting the highest sensitivity and motion range. But not recording too. I guess mine is a lemon set. lol

But I changed it to the Google Nest doorbell (battery) now. Work like a charm.

I am using eufy wired, it took me while to realise that the "door wire point" at the kitchen provided from the hdb is just wire only. It does not connect to any electrical source at all.

Since u already have the doorbell wire from the kitchen for the doorbell point outside. Just get the wired version.

My wired eufy doorbell required is 12V. So I got a step down adapter from 240v to 12v

Typical sg Kitchen power point-> step down adapter 240v->12v - > existing doorbell wire - > eufy doorbell. That all. I have been using about 10 months. So far so good.
May i ask how you determine US wired eufy 2k doorbell requires 12v? Based on their website:
Power Options Existing Doorbell Wiring (16-24VAC, 30VA or above)

So basically if i'm getting the US wired version, just follow your steps to get stepdown adapter to 12v?

Also what's the difference between US (wired) and SG version (wireless) other than being wireless. I note the SG version, the chime is much bigger than the US wired version.

Thanks!

Yes. A step down will do.

When I wanted to get a doorbell. I saw most of the wired doorbells reviews on youtude are mainly from the US. Went to lazada and saw some sellers are selling step down adapter to use for rings, nest, eufy etc. I got it less than $20.

Also Eufy wireless is officially sold by anker Singapore. I dislike the idea of replacing the battery. That why got the wired version.

The hardwired Nest Hello and ?Ring pro has internal batteries as well.. and when it dies seems difficult to find replacement ( at least imho )

Not engineering savy no idea why they still needed a battery when hardwired. Recently my Nest hello chime activation fails like 75% of the time now even after changing transformer, reset etc etc.

New nest hello just ordered.. zzz

When you guys used wired version, you are using the step down to the existing hdb wired door bell to connect it to main door right? I had a minor Reno issue where my carpenter went to block up the wired socket at my kitchen thinking we will be using wireless.. Thinking of drilling a hole thru to access it if I am bent on having my doorbell wired.

Thanks, maybe i will get a step down adapter to 18v instead based on the website requirements shown. Do we also need a step down adapter for the chime?

What about the placement of the doorbell itself. Did you place it on the existing doorbell switch? Does it cover the wall cavity completely?

Yes. U just Google search step down adapter for doorbell and u will see stepdown adapter model avaliable thru lazada and shopee. Take note it is NOT a transformer.

My old hdb doorbell is the standard type 86 casing. The eufy doorbell is rectangular shaped and I need to do a lot of job to patch it the wall if i have to mount on the same location . Trust me. If u r not a handy or even did a wall plastering before. It is going to be a big mess. I just use the blank 86 type case to cover it and make a small opening from the side to pull the wiring out to connect the doorbell at the side.

Does anyone know if we need to apply for approval to install video doorbell (eufy)? If so, how do we apply for one? Thanks!

can u share some pics of how you connect the adapter to the existing doorbell wire and to the doorbell itself?

Bumping this question up, deciding between botslab 360 X3 and eufy 1080p battery video doorbell too.

I went with Eufy 2k instead. No monthly subscriptions and have quite a decent app experience. Video footage captured is great too. Using battery instead of wired for now.
