Google nest doorbell is it better to wired or battery?

depends on your preference.
battery version just needs simple setup to secure the door bell, one may not need to drill.
=> battery charging once every 2.5 months.
=> some house setup, this is an Handy option. I opt for this.
=> charging is not difficult, a simple unlock mechanism is used to bring the door bell out from the mounting bracket.

wired version needs to have wires feed to the door bell and setup transformers to supply AC supply to the door bell.
=> after initial setup, no need to care on power supply.

=> drilling, preparing own transformer may not be a simple job to most. may need to pay $60-80 for the installation work excluding the transformer cost.

the wired version can link to chime.
for the battery version, the package does come with contact points to external chime, to me this is defeating the purpose .
I have Google nest hub display but most of the time, the phone notification is more than enough as nowadays hardly people pressing door bell. the video notification come to phone/Google home app when someone approaching the door bell.
