Anyone knows whether the digital doorbell like Tapo can connect to our phone tethering? New home got no wifi but I wanted just to test the range

From what I remember, camera be it cctv / ipcam must be installed within house gate. For those that install outside of house, it requires approval from police right? If rules changed, then this confirm better than doorbell camera.

I had Ezviz doorbell EP3x pro. It has intelligent human detection and solar panel charging. Best thing is no longer need to replace or recharge batteries.

Can I check how the image looks like? I know some camera has this black border around the image. Because of the wide angle fish eye lens or something, it kind of have this black border

After playing with Evziz and Tapo, I feel the Tapo app is better designed but Evziz hardware is more superior.

Past cases of a cat abuser such as the young boy who threw the cat from the corridor and some pervert stealing panties were caught by cctv . Actually I feel police also know it is good to have more "eyes" to look out for it .

Is just a power plug / transformer that convert our sg voltage output 220v to 18v .

Go google search power adapter for doorbell and u will know.

I am using Aqara G4, the black one (international edition) since January. It's wired to a AC power transformer inside my HDB unit.

The horizontal 162 degree view coverage of the external corridor works well. it is mounted on the wall with the provided angled wedge. Video is clear for both day and night. Using it with HKSV, and the alert response my family gets on our mobiles whenever someone walks by, or press the doorbell is almost instantaneous. We can hold a conversation with the person via the build-in mike (despite the road noise from the busy road downstairs).

So yes, I love it.

By the way if you're planing to get the white China one, take note it does not come with the wedge mount.

U all using the 18VAC 500mA transformer adapter ? I tried looking for Safety mark kind but cannot find, so have to use all those unmarked china brand kind ? Some on Lazada/Shopee listed have UL certification, but all the users review photos the adapter have no UL printed at all..

Actually putting these outside really help to identify some xiaolang. My neighbour caught someone littering outside our floor. Machiam throw some ash thing and perhaps doing some ritual thing, lol! To me, I can’t be bothered much but it really disturb some ppl.

Another of my friend was staying in one of these hotel overseas. Someone pressed her door bell and when she peep at the peephole. Wa lan eh! You don’t want to know what she saw. Tell ppl, others also feel she talk cock. Best to have this kind of thing as evidence. Haha

I used to use Ring doorbell, I like the transformer power supply from Ring. Maybe I might just get the Ring power adapter since its also certified

So it works without chime. Just that there will be no chime sound totally or it just very soft chime from d235?

I using d235. If no chime then it goes into your mobile phone. No sound. Quite good if you stay condo and just want to monitor ppl. I understand Alexis and Google Home also work but I haven’t try it myself.
