If a device designed for 4.5a max only, it should also comes with a fused power cord with 4.0a or maybe max 4.5a but never a 13a fused power cord.

The 4.5a fuse expected to blow when the device draw current exceeding (ad normal operation or malfunction) the designed 4.5a to protect the device. Using a 13a fused power cord will result in the device severely overloaded but the 13a will not blow when the device malfunction. The 13a fuse will blow only when exceeding 13a, not at 4.5a.

of course when deciding on the right blower, you have to take into account the air pressure that the unit puts out also. you don't want it so powerful that it takes a few capacitors off with it when you clean your computer or so little airflow that it does not serve it's intended purpose.

Ok understand now. You talking about those power cord with fuse inside. I initially thought that you talking about just a normal power cord, did not notice it is a fused cord.

How come some electrical items power cord come with fuse and some no fuse?

Fuse got how many kinds/ratings?

All power cord gt fuse... Go open up all of your appliances power cord to take a look.

I thought only the 3-pin plugs have a fuse in the cord (in the plug head). Think the 2-pin plugs don't have?

Any owners of the Datavac can advise me on this ...

I just received mine via Ta-Q-Bin today, and I'm wondering about this hole on top of the front of the nozzle where it starts to taper inwards.

Does your nozzle come with this hole too? It seem counter-productive, since air is also blown out of this hole. I don't see any other parts that look like they are used to cover up this hole. If it is normal, do you use your blower as-is with air coming out of this hole? Or should I tape up the hole so air only comes out of the tip?

i believe that hole is to prevent excess pressure in the air funnel from blowing the funnel itself off during use.

for general blowing use, i suggest using the cone shaped funnel instead of the tapered one. the tapered one is actually meant to be used with the tubing and brush to clean the insides of say a power supply since u cant open it up as it voids the warranty of the psu if u do.
