Sure, it will works, no issue at all.

The blower required only 600w, only about 1/5 of our 230v 13A (3000w) AC power.

Does it mean Singapore one wall socket is 230v 13A (3000w) AC power.

If I connect multiplug extensions (those that 1 row can have many 3 pin sockets and 1 cable connect to wall 3 pin socket), as long as those electrical items add up do not exceed 230v 13A (3000w), it is safe to let all of them connect to the sockets on the same multi plug extension row, and get power from the same one wall socket?

220-240V does it mean that it needs any voltage between 220-240V to work? That means it can work in any of the countries that has the voltage from 220 to 240V.

No worry, it works. Our mains voltage can fluctuate depending on the loading a particular point of time.

Yes too.

Do note that even though our AC power is 230v 13a, try not to run devices close to the 13ampere rating at one go. Most appliances will have a power surge during the initial start up/power up thus not advisable to power up the extension cable with all devices connected to the same extension cable at ON status, it will eventually over shot the 13a and cause a power trip at the distributor board.

No major issues in most cases except with the exception of appliances with motor and devices sensitive to clock/timing frequency.

Our AC power is 230v 13a 50hz, if you run the appliance in a country using 230v but 60hz frequency, the motor will spin approximately 20% faster compared to the 50hz frequency power. For example, if the device is rated at 1000rpm on the 50hz, it will spin at 1200rpm instead if use on the 60hz frequency power. Having said that, some devices will still capped at 1000 designed rpm with a regulated circuit designed to counter differences in frequency.

Some radio/clock device might not work at all if its designed to run at 50hz only.

So usually just ignore the hz will be fine? I mean at most is the device work slower/faster, slightly incorrect. Incorrect hz used will not cause device spoil, or cause major problem like short circuit, power trip, correct? Every country is either using 50hz or 60hz, not a big difference.

an air compressor imho opinion works way way better than any blower in the market.

I see most electrical items only mention Watt. Ampere need to calculate myself.

For the volts, 230v is just a rating that tell you the wall socket accepts 230v electrical product correct? I mean is it like as long as the electrical device is 230 volts, can plug in already, can plug in any amount of devices with 230v to one wall socket, there is nothing such as exceeding too much volts, even if i plug in 10 electrical devices that uses 230v to a same wall socket via mutiplug extension it is ok as long as the 10 devices total do not exceed 13A or 3000W, correct?

No, as bro commach did mention that appliance does surge during power up. As such, never never load till total current/wattage near 13A/3KW

On side note, if there is a need to buy power cord/cable, make sure the current rating is higher than that of the appliance to connect to.

Cable/Cord: usually use current rating
Appliance: usually use watt rating

My company has hundred if not thousand of cable/cord surplus. On inspection, the cable/cord has only 2.5A current rating. Anyone who takes one home to power the electrical kettle is risking an electrical fire.

No, it won't offer you any better protection from the start up surge even without using it. Prioritize which device to start up first or power up the devices one by one if the combined wattage required are very close to 13ampere.

No issue, won't caused short circuit or over loading. Potential draw back will be a slightly hotter devices if the motor spin at 20% faster or you missed the targeted output flow rate if you are using pump, it will be pumping out more than what you want, just an example.

Absolutely fine. :)

10volts AC differences is not an issue at the 2xx range.

A 2.5a fused power cord won't result in fire risk using it with an electric kettle. The fuse will instant blow without any chance of overloading the power cable or the kettle.

If only you use an full 13a power cord on the much lower rated device like 4.5a will result in fire risk due to the fact that the 13a fuse won't blow even when the device is under overloading status, no?

If the owner will to replace the blown with 13A one, then the cable sure to heat up and melt fast.

My Stanley blower is using a 16A power cord on 2.61A device, is it similar to what you said? So will there be problem, like fire risk or any risk?

the MCB will trip first before it hits the power cord limit threshold

That plug is a standard plug rated at 250v 16ampere, meaning it can withstand as high as 250v with a 16ampere current without any risk of premature failure or risk of overloading.

A simple analogy, you got a 16 tonnes (16ampere) truck but you load it with only 2.06 tonnes (2.06ampere), will your truck suffered premature failure with such meager load?

At only 600w, hardly an impact of overloading issue on our AC 230v 13ampere power from the wall socket.

The device will draw how much current it need even the supply current far exceed the device rating. This will not result in overloading. If device demand more current than the supply can give, this will result in overloading of supply and might cause fire unless supply has overload protection.


Where as voltage, u need to be the same as the device rating. If too high, it will result in overloading and fire. If too low, the device will not work properly or might not even work.
