hello there, i think best you check with your condo building management or contractor whom is doing your house renovation.

for hdb, we do not have the neutral wire, therefore you need to know before making purchases as some of the switches need neutral, some no need.

If you use RF switch (typically those 433Mhz one), becareful as the control unit is very simple and only few code protection. So your network may be affected by installation nearby.

Really? There is no pairing (e.g. PIN) required? Wouldn't it make it easy for people to hijack the switches and wreak havoc? But I would imagine there will be interference if there are many devices running at 433Mhz... just like Wifi

You are right.
The safer way is Wi-Fi. But it also depending of which "server" the device interface with. Very few consumer will setup they own system within home to automate controlling devices. ie if the "server" is down, you loss control of your home.

You can google or youtube to find out more. There is so many alternative and each has it plus and negative review.

Hello, I am thinking of getting some RF switches for my new place... Can I check whether (newer) condos typically have neutral for their switch wiring? Hehe... I thought based on what I learnt in school... typically we need a live, neutral and earth?

You are right, most device need power and Neutral wire is required. Which is not present in most wall switch.

The power consumption is not small and need to take into consideration. For example of Sonoff device I mentioned. It takes about 0.5W at standby and close to 1W when activated.

One year is about 8760 hours. So you can calculate how much electrical bill you will be getting per device.

This has yet to take in consideration of replacement cost if the devices is out dated or become defective. As most likely, you cannot get the same replacement type few years later.

I'm on Android and using RM Pro3, understand from some of the guys here that the newer RM PRO+ having some issue with Alexa, not sure wat u encountered is it due to that too.

How about try registering your RM Pro+ as RM Pro3 in IHC app and retry the TV template if you have the time to debug ?

Just bought Yoogee Switches for my new BTO..

Managed to get the 2-way switches working.. however, my LED tracklight is giving out buzzing sound when i turned them on.. anyone has issues like that?

the LED tracklight does not have this issue when it's with the default HDB wall switches..

my electrician also cannot understand why is it so..

u can add broadlink from google home app (home control) now. I believe u need to setup your devices as light from ihc app. Havent tried it yet

i'm using google-assistant on handphone, in home-control, able to see broadlink skill, just need to enable it.

however seems lik google-assistant only detect light template, so u need to config ur stuffs as light for it to work with google-assistant. (alexa is tv template) if have both google-assistant & alexa, need config 2 times, 2 sets of diff templates in order to let them work on individual devices. lol

Just Sharing... Some of you may know already.
My livolo rf switches are finally here.

So i installed a few... E-control app can download remote templates (shared by users) anf pair with your switch so u can use the app remote to control the switch IF you do not have physical remote.

Even if you have physical remote eg rmt-04, u can still pair it with the switch which is already paired with app remote as per switch is able to learn up to ten rf codes. So the same switch will still be controllable by the two remotes, no issue.

Check the regular circuit box. Small transformance inside the box may be faulty.

Hi guys, new to this. Recently setup my Pro+ but can’t seem to link it ip in Google Home/Assistant. Input password and the screen doesn’t continue on... (I tried to put wrong password and it detects wrong password)

Any advice?

Edit: was using iPhone previously. Swapped to Android and all went great. Oh well.
