Router is Synology 2600ac isp is MyRepublic. No problem with the previous spoil rm pro+. Now problem in setting up the current one

Where did you buy your new RM Pro? Coz I bought my first RM Pro from Lazada with CC discount and all and before I know of Desiree, and I too couldn’t set up that RM Pro. It came in a entirely white box with no QR code.

And just curious, why did your old RM Pro spoil and how long did you use it for?

Did you try setting it up with e-control app?
Everything should be done on 2.4GHz.
There is a new IHC app in beta. They are testing it out now. I'll raise to them on broadlink rm pro and mini connectivity issue. Hope they will make it simpler.

Thanks for the help. I am able to connect to all my rm pro and mini now. Found out the reason. It's because of AP isolation is enabled in the WiFi setting in the router. Once disabled, everything falls into place.

Hi guys! I just got my bto, and im so excited to fill the house with smart stuff.

Can i know if anyone experienced problems of lights flickering with tc2/etouch/livolo/funry switches?

Im worried for my living room, which has 3 gangs:
1 for 6 led downlights
1 for 5 led downlights
1 for covelight(T5)

Which brand of switches works better and doesnt need a capcitor?
Thanks to any kind friend here whom can share some advice/experienced the flickering

Thanksssssssss

Why not use Sonoff? I am using Sonoff to control all my house lights without problem. Can use with Google home some more. My living room lighting setup is about the same number of lights as your. No problem with Sonoff 3 gang control. Not capacitors added also

But sonoff requires neutral wire right?

REally frustrated with broadlink switches.

For those using TC2, do you encounter the switch auto switch off itself without any pre-setting or touching the switch ?

There are a couple of times my switch suddenly turn off. Aside from that, i change many spoil switches.. it is so unstable.

Understand the RM Pro is able to control the air-con and ceiling fan remote.
However, as a house have multiple air-con and ceiling fan, how do you all set them up?
Do not want a situation where all air-con/fan are on when remote just 1 air-con/fan to be on.

Thanks!

RM-pro both control RF and IR
For aircon in different room, you require one more for room (within line of sight as it is using IR)

Air-con use IR remote so if you have 3 aircon, you will need 1 RM pro plus 2 RM mini. The placement of the RM pro and mini MUST be in line of sight.

Ceiling Fan depending on your model, some may use RF remote and some may use IR remote. For RF remote, 1 RM pro to do the job for all. For IR remote same as aircon, MUST be in line of sight.

Rule of thumb, get 1 RM pro for the living room. RM mini to supplement other room in the hse that require IR remote.

Been using TC2 switches since Nov 2017. So far so good. Once in the blue moon, the switch auto off by itself without any preset.

I'm using nvidia shield tv google assistant to control my home automation. I guess google home mini uses google assistant as well. They should work similar.

1. Create 2 scenes in ihc app. "Fan On" and "Fan Off"
2. Test out the 2 scenes in ihc app to check if its working
3. On your phone google assistant go to settings and "shortcuts"
4. Create 2 shortcuts
"turn on fan" respond to "turn on Fan On"
"turn off fan" respond to "turn on Fan Off"
5. Test on google assistant

I'm using this workthrough with my aircon on/off and they work fine. Give it a try.

shortcuts? I don't see shortcuts in my google assistant. Do you mean routine?

Anyone using IFTTT with broadlink? Does broadlink broadcast the action status to IFTTT?

I’m using the oem centros sp2 power plug (from broadlink sg) for my Christmas tree lights and I’m setting an IFTTT trigger to also turn on the string lights plugged to a sonoff to turn on.
Somehow it only works one way from IFTTT to devices. Somehow it can’t detect switching state when I set the trigger IF “broadlink switch is on”.

Any advice besides getting another broadlink plug? Reason why I’m using sonoff is because the module is tapping power from the curtain motor area which is just a wire and not socket. No other socket nearby so it’s cleaner than having to have a Long wire run.

My KDK fan remote works for all fans in my bedroom, study room and MBR. Hahaha but IR is ok cos line of sight and cannot penetrate walls.

My RM pro is in living room so cannot on these fans also. That’s why I bought the Bean to see if can setup room aircon and fan.

hi, i'm also using rm-pro and have kdk fan. But the problem is the On and Off signal is the same. So sometimes when i ask my google home to off the fan, it turns on the fan when it's off instead of staying at off. are you having the same problem? or you have a solution to this?

Hmmm, what model is your KDK fan?

My KDK ceiling fan has two unique IR frequencies for on and off.

Recently bought “Mi Universal IR Remote Controller” to compare my current Broadlink RM Pro. I totally blown away by the support for Mi Universal Remote. It can support StarHub Fiber TV Box but broadlink cant. But the downside is it can’t support Apple HomeKit, Google Home it Alexa. Anyone got any chance managed to get Broadlink RM Pro to control Starhub TV Box?
