Hi medscy, sorry for late reply, didn't log in here as frequent now.

I have broadlink rm pro setup, and added broadlink's own S2 alarm kit which consists of door and motion sensors. The sensors work great together with rm pro, some example that i have done is...

1) door sensor in storeroom, everytime i open storeroom, triggers the sensor and rm pro will shoot rf signal to on my storeroom light (via storeroom rf switch)

2) door sensor in main door, i set criteria after 6pm daily, when main door opens, triggers the sensor and will ask broadlink to activate a scene which i have put in essential lights like chandelier, sidetable lamps, livingroom fan, decor lights, etc.

i tried to use digoo door sensor(3rd party, non-broadlink) but unable to 'pair' to broadlink's s2 bcos no QR to scan and no s/n to enter therefore im unable to make them work.

i saw you ask about the broadlink motion sensor, yes, it can detect motion and trigger a scene/turn on a light, tried and tested working but personally i never really use it, what you can do is to use the motion sensor to trigger a scene like turn on sideway lights when motion detected etc.

:s13:
Thanks to Shacboi and hAiZzZ86 for the sharing. Appreciate it :). I have decided to go for another approach... Ordering a PIR sensor 433Mhz switch that will send out signal when detecting movement and off when the status is reverted. The RF signal will be used to switch on the RF light switch. This will achieve the objective without introducing another hub/gateway like S1/S2.

For those who are interested, below is the link:

Hi medscy, great that you wanted to try out some new approach, let us know if it works!

in theory it should work, press ur rf switch to learn mode, triggers the motion PIR to send out signal, and hopefully RF switch can pick up the rf signal.

do u happen to know if ur RF switch is toggling or dedicated on/off code ? what brand ??

I'm using the Yoogee RF switches... They support both toggle and dedicated on/off codes. Yes, so long as I can feed it with a RF fixed code, it should work... Tested wokring with the USB remote which I shared in my previous post. Will update again when I receive the PIR switches :)

Guys i have set up 2 scenes on my ihc app with "ceiling fan on" & "off ceiling fan".

But when voice command to google home, it say "ok activating 2 scenes". Thus the fan on and off at the same time.
Whats wrong here? Thanks.

Assistance need in connecting the device.

Router: ASUS RT-AC88U
Phone: iPhone XS Max iOS 12.1.1
App: ihc 1.9.22
SSID: Waifai (2.4 GHz)
Password: ******** (less than 32 characters)

I’ve exhausted all possible means of connecting the device to the network but it is not working
How do I determine if the device is faulty or not?
I’ve tried connecting by connecting to BroadlinkProv as well.

Anyone having problems connecting rm pro+ to Alexa? Alexa keeps saying BL devices are not responding even though on ihc app, l can control the devices directly. All the devices and scenes can also be seen on Alexa app but not responding to any voice commands

U know that LIVOLO switches are toggle mode, so if u set on or off utton essentially is same signal anyways, unless u know workards.

If u intend to connect to Google home, use IHC app lamp template.

okie.. do i need create on and off differ button? or if link to google home need create scene as well?

is there any way we can say "hey google, turn on fan" rather then now "hey google, activate turn on fan".

RM Pro+ with door sensor

Hi

Any bros here tried using RM Pro+ directly with any brands of door sensor? I am hoping to attach a door senor to my IoT home without the need to get the S1/S1 gateway. since already has a pro+ and hope that it can be the main controller controlling everything.

Any?

Not possible unless the RM Pro can be hacked like Sonoff rf bridge to run custom firmware. RM Pro was never positioned as a receiver though I suspect technically it can be since it can learn rf codes. If you only need a simple activation by the door sensor to switch on lamp, it may work by getting a cheap RF door sensor and pair it with your RF switch. But without a controller, you can't reset the state and do advance if-else controls.
