My frd wanted buy a rm pro.. So got chat wit a seller.. The seller confirmed tat rm pro+ is newer version with better specs but functionality is the same. However do note that it is currently not supported by Alexa Broadlink skill yet. So using apps is fine, but not Alexa.

Not sure when this will be incorporated into Alexa broadlink skill.

not sure if its the same but there is a black box and white box version
supposedly the white box is the new version

this suppose "new" version 2016/2017 is the one with more IR emitters in the unit?

Rm pro only ir or rf... No bluetooth.

Can't control. Even my LG magic remote some buttons can't learn because it's using Bluetooth :/

Ok, my frd trying to setup rm mini3 to ihc found out that... if ur router SSId has spacing... broadlink cannot detect.. sumhow it is lik this. just sharing..

SSID that broadlink app cant connect: A B C
SSID that will work: ABC

Anyone using the RM plugin and is able to "share" all your e-control remotes to the plugin?
I tried sharing but RM plugin doesn't receive anything... Not sure what I'm doing wrong here

It works without problems for me. The process of importing codes from econtrol into rmplugin is automatic. Try closing and opening rmpugin to trigger, if still not working, there is a button in rmplugin General Settings to Force Import. Try that.

The Share Data option in rmplugin is to copy data to another rmplugin device, which is not what you need to do here.

Reporting in bro. Thanks for this reccomendation. I will check with my vendor for the tube diameter. Hopefully this fits.

I just bought Broadlink RM pro but I could not able to add the device. I did reset it to configuration mode and connect to SSID BroadlinkProV but always fail to add the device. I tried e-Control and IHC apps both failed.

Anyone can help?

my frd earlier issue is due to spacing in SSID, but urs dun hav, cld it be ur router firewall settings or sumthing ??

Will IHC conflict with Homemate?

Setup 2 modes also dun work

1. Device LED blink fast, select my home WIFI and type in password, after 60 sec, no device detect.

2. Proceed to AP mode, reset my device and its LED blink slow, select SSID "BroadlinkProV" from my Android WIFI is ok, but click back to IHC WIFI station, it cannot detect SSID "BroadlinkProV". So no device detected.

Just started using ihc, seems like quite difficult to add in device. I am confused by the interface. Added in rm pro + as a device, then i still had to add in aircon n all the other devices one by one? Then later how to sync to Alexa?

i also just started playing with all these... from what i understand, u should treat e-control and ihc as separate thing... They dont really share info so u have to start ihc from scratch... and only tv template from ihc works with alexa for now, set up all the remotes that you have then use alexa app to discover devices

A few questions.
1. How do you update Broadlink Rm pro versions ? Can we mannually update?

2. To do scene. Do you create the scene on e-control or rm plugin ?

Not too sure how to do a few things together at the same time to create scene. I am able to use rm plugin to control individual device with on/off function. If i wan to do a few things at one time. (example, "Party time" then it turn on my aircon, tv, hi-fi, lights using rm plugin and hue lights)
