i don't like the hub need to run an additional plug and cable to provide power. The S2C is straight away to the wall plug which is ideal for my current setup

I have a plug near my main door. so i had my S1C there. the router is in the main electrical switch box. so its "near" and RM Pro is just in the living room.

later change S2 hub also cannot = GG

hahahaha

that's true... maybe wait for them to patched the firmware

Hi bros, just sharing... Maybe some of u already know...

Recently found out google app have home control function and now recognised broadlink account too. Meaning.... U can add ur acct there and use hp google-assistant to ON n OFF ur stuffs by... Voice to hp OR by typing!

But i realised doesn't do tv remote... Lights and SCENES work. U can add ur lights to a group and activate the group. Nice...

Im an Alexa user... But i welcome this google-assistant function on my hp! Best is its free.. No need buy any google home or mini.

Wat u need (according to my settings) to have and to do :

1.Google app beta installed on hp (pls google to see how to be a beta user,
https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7003180?hl=en )

2. Broadlink IHC app (some lights template to play ard in app, Not tv remote template)

3. Link/enabled broadlink acct to google-assistant settings, home control function.

And u are good to go! Enjoy! :D

Commands are,

Turn on/off {device name}
Turn on/off {group name}

Only TV remote only but I followed Paul Hibbert tutorials to rename the TV to somet else and it works.I use Alexa and RM Pro+ in my living room to control my ceiling fan, Aircon, TV and robot vacuum cleaner. I still waiting for my Yoogee wall switch to control my lights.

Latest update from Paul is RM03 IHC + Alexa only control IR. IHC + goggle home only control RF. And google limited to lighting category and need to learn every under lighting if want control from google. Anyone with RM03 IHC can confirm you can use Alexa control RF devices from RM03?

Hi Dino... I tink u r refering to broadlink ihc app use with alexa... Only tv remote template (IR) recognise...

Whereas for google-assistant use with broadlink only lights template (RF) recognise...

So far alexa use wit broadlink, only tv template is recognised.. So u hav to setup ur stuffs as tv template till date.

Thanks for the info. Just the things that i'm looking for.

Btw by using "SCENE" in the ihc app and "shortcuts" in google assistant you can control IR devices and custom RF devices. At least that how i manage to make unrecognised device by google assistant to work.

yea, either that, or just learn your aircon, tv remote, etc as a light template in IHC app just for google-assitant to recgonise and use it, it works too.

Just install the Smart Switches for all the lights, I have not tested on the RM Pro yet as the overall renovation just completed yesterday so doing cleaning before shifting and installing Internet etc. =:p

If all you need is light control. Try search Sonoff from site like ebay, banggood. Cost can be as low as US$5 per control point.
(also use youtube as a diy guide using the same keyword).

Dont need expensive solution.

Agree sonoff is cheap... it has official store at lazada too...

But saw some mixed reviews that the wall switch is not safe :s11:

Hello, I am thinking of getting some RF switches for my new place... Can I check whether (newer) condos typically have neutral for their switch wiring? Hehe... I thought based on what I learnt in school... typically we need a live, neutral and earth?

hello there, i think best you check with your condo building management or contractor whom is doing your house renovation.

for hdb, we do not have the neutral wire, therefore you need to know before making purchases as some of the switches need neutral, some no need.

If you use RF switch (typically those 433Mhz one), becareful as the control unit is very simple and only few code protection. So your network may be affected by installation nearby.
