Is there a decent z-wave or zigbee RF controller? I'm not aware of something like this, currently my own home all mostly on z-wave, but because I want to control this 1 single RF fan I using Broadlink. My ceiling fans all smart fans controlled by SmartLife so no worries via Wifi, just that one stupid dining fan I need the broadlink.

Can understand why your dining fan cannot be controlled by SmartLife?

Also, I have a Crestar living room fan (RF controlled) which I would like to control with Google Home and Home-assistant (via RP4). How can I achieve that?

Thanks.

My dining fan does not have a smart controller built in like my other ceiling fans that can be controlled by smart life. My ceiling fans from PO Eco got status and everything, can see in app they are switch on and off.

You program the RF fan remote into the new broadlink app via the RM4pro. Then you link broadlink into the GH app
The thing is, GH will only extract 1 on/off button on to its app(my button display flickers due to a bug but it still works)
The SOLUTION here is: In the Broadlink app, program each button on your handheld remote control as a single appliance. i.e. create a n appliance for every function.
As much as this method may look crowded in both apps(each function appearing as 1 appliance), ultimately we are using our voice yes? so one shouldn't give a hoot

I have manage to learn the remote for Fanco Fan in Broadlink app but it seems that Google Home do not support RF Remote and that option did not appear on Google Home app.

Anyone knows any workaround?

After you add new broadlink to GH(as a fan, not a light), the on/off button should appear, but buggy (the on/off button display flickers) but it still works when you click on it or use voice. Then use my workaround in my last post to add other fan functions (i'm using RM4pro)

Hi all.. would like to know if i can use broadlink rm pro to adjust the fan speed base on timing or simply put, my fan will increase speed when its 11am and decrease speed when its 6pm daily automatically

Currently my kdk wall fan is linked to broadlink via rm pro

All the devices is also link to google home app

If your speed buttons are displayed on GH, then write a routine within GH. If not you can refer to my last post on how to get the speed button on GH

I hate that button flicker bug. Seriously, if I can find another solution to control RF fans that I don't have to create a scene for each thing I'll change immediately.

Its Ok lar. Do it one time and don't look at it anymore....until you change your ceiling fan....
In the end you use voice only no? which is faster than picking up phone, looking for GH, open GH, looking for device, click on device, clicking on button.

Yeah but because of the scene thing, if you accidentally add an additional phrase, the scene won't activate. My current smart ceiling fans, I can say "the living room fan" or "living room fan" and it will understand to switch it on. Because of this scene thing, if I set to "the dining fan" and tell google switch on "dining fan" it will not activate it. It's just plain annoying.

Well, in the mean time while we wait for fixes/patches and our beard to grow, In the GH routine you can set all the possible ways you would "accidentally" say it. Means you add both "the living room fan" and "living room fan" in the When entry of a routine

I mean sure you can add another scene with and without the, but I don't like it. That's all I am saying. Just want something that is like Sensibo where it works without that much of a hassle. Hope there's a better RF bridge in the future.

Hi all, I just bought the rm4 pro and have 3 routers, xiaomi ac2100, starhub's dlink 868l and 850l.and I have no idea why rm4 pro cannot access any of the 3 routers. I disabled the 5ghz on all 3 routers and still cannot connect. Is it an ip address issue or is it because the broadlink app is that bad? My Internet is obtained from a starhub sim card hotspot to a laptop and then shared through a lan cable to the router. Netlink is suspended for now. That's why the current setup. Appreciate any help.

i think u can create a "guest" account like some one mentioned some posts back. set a simple wifi password with just alphanumeric or phrase. and see if RM can detect anot.

I thought always lagging? lol.. but in all seriousness, no much diff in terms of response, but the app is not intuitive and sluggish to navigate. But once I press the button, response is fine.

Hi gurus.. now I'm search for a smart ceiling fan or a fan that I can control via broadlink.

May I know which fans are suitable? I know crestar is not suitable although I really liked their design..

How do we create a shortcut of the device to our home screen. Went through the app but could not find a widget or any way of adding a shortcut to the home screen. Example as attached.
