Hijacking this thread as im planning for a Taiwan trip in Jan 17 also.

11 Jan - Sin > Taoyuan > HSR to Taichung (free and easy + fengjia night market)
12 Jan - Taichung - (Hire Driver) Lavender Farm, Carton King, GaoMei Wetlands
13 Jan - Taichung > (Hire Driver) Miaoli (Fei Niu Farm), stay overnight at farm
14 Jan - Miaoli: (Hire Driver) Strawberry Farm, Railway Museum > Taipei
15 Jan - Tpe - Shop and eat
16 Jan - Tpe - (Maybe hire driver) to go outskirt jiufen, fireworks, lanterns etc)
17 Jan - Tpe - Shop and eat
18 Jan - Last Min Shopping, Taoyuan > Sin


Any drivers recommendation for:
1. Taichung,
2. Taichung > Miaoli,
3. Taipei Outskirt

I brought sweater and jacket. End up just wear t-shirt throughout the whole trip. The warmest Taiwan trip for me.

I think I'm bringing 2 sets of jackets sia! Bought one Superdry one for this trip but seems like I won't really be using it next week

i'm going from 3-6jan. bought 1 uniqlo reversible parka so 1 side waterproof, 1 side normal type. won't hot die me right?

8jan- beitou, tamshui, shilin
9jan- book car tour taoyuan, jiufen, shifen, stay in Jiufen
10jan- book car from jiufen to miaoli pick strawberrries , sight seeing etc
Car will bring me to Taichung eventually, night market in Taichung
11jan - book car to tour Taichung like lavender garden, flower sea, gaomei, carton king, night market
12 jan - book car to bring me from taichung to kaoshiung, tour in between at tainan
13 Jan - go cijing, pier2 , liuhe night market
14 Jan, DreamWorld and back to SG

for jiufen, can take tra one hour to ruifang
then take bus 1062, about 15 min to jiufen

if u going from xmd to jiufen
one way is about 1.5 hours, excluding waiting time ...

I be reaching Tao yuan on 6th Jan and heading to Taichung (6th to 8th), Jiufen (8th to 9th) and Taipei (9th to 12th). Solo trip.. hoping to go cing jing or hehuanshan on 7th... anyone Going?

Hahaha, sounds like you've got a similar time-frame as me, but an exactly opposite itinerary
