I been to Circerello only at Fremantle to eat sea food. That was ages ago.

I am looking at Perth Google map again because my friend's son is going Curtin in the coming new semester.

From this thread, I have learned that north part of Swan river to the cottesloe beach is the expensive suburbs. UWA is also there. No wonder.

In general, north of river (NOR) is always more expensive than south of river (SOR). Except for say South Perth and Applecross.

Yes pls share review.

Fish & chip i prefer twin fin

Btw zehzeh got go see aurora? Tiakong later have again

Will do!

The Fish and Chips shop opposite Ciao Italia is pretty good!

Doesn't the commute drain you?

I'm shuttling between Singapore and China every 3 to 4 weeks. Totally beyond exhausted!

It does drain, both physically and financially.

But now that I have stepped into my current role, I don't have much time on the weekends to fly over, so he comes over to visit me on the weekends.

How much longer is this gonna be until?

My hubby will start the commute (from China) once I move to Australia. But he can't do it as frequent as I'm doing now.

You mean fly from China to Brisbane on a frequent basis? How often would that be.

That is much further than Perth to Singapore, which is only 5 hours.

He is considering relocating to Perth in the near future, so we'll see how that works.

Looks like your relationship with that guy has started to blossom? That's good!

I don't know what to say.
Sorry maybe I got it wrong. Thought there was something about how you didn't really like him initially but your parents approve of him or something like that? Sorry if I got it wrong.

But looks like you guys are getting well together now?

As in?

It's more of he's not who you really want or

It's more of you don't want to be in a relationship now or in the near future?

Him relocating to Perth will be a big move and that changes a lot of things. It will be much more difficult to back out as compared to maybe now?

Don't know how frequent it will be. We can't plan too far ahead. All depends on our baby making plans.

Our situation is a bit complicated. LOL.

Too many things to consider and plan.

Personally, I think he is a great guy and objectively a good catch. He has been very patient with me, unlike many of my previous boyfriends.

I just really can't get over how all of these have been thrusted upon me (and so quickly), and I am really scared that I am sleepwalking into a marriage that I may not be ready for.

Actually from a financial point of view, it may be good to hold a Singapore passport, simply due to the lack of capital gain tax. Australian PR is honestly good enough, there is no incentive to upgrade from a PR to citizenship unless you are sure that you want your family to be based totally in Australia in the long run.

I think and feel you should let go of the fact that he was 'recommded' by your parents. Trust that your parents want the best for you.

We have to be in Australia for the rest of our lives. My hubby's entire family is in Australia. A lot of his extended families are in Australia too.

He grew up in Australia too. And we both don't really like where we are now (not Singapore).

He won't be able to get PR (and then a job) in Singapore thru our marriage. We aren't worried about the job though as I've my own company in Singapore. Both of us like the pace in Australia. Singapore is good for building a career (for me) though.

Sounds like you don't have that "spark" for that guy?

Head over heart?

Sometimes going through a crisis together might just create that spark.
