No issue. Mine from m1 also no hanyu pinyin name but eight has it during signing up and port over at retailer.i just did a port over from giga.
realised that eight captured my full NRIC name which includes pin yin when giga doesnt have the pin yin.
example:
Eight captured-
TAN AH GAO (CHEN AH GOU)
Giga registered as-
TAN AH GAO
will there be any issues?

I don’t think will have issues. I had the same situation from porting from Gigai just did a port over from giga.

For those of you who top up via shope, do you guys encounter scam call to your number soon after your topup being made? Like 1-2 hrs after topup. Happen to me for my 2 number when i top up in different days. Too coincidence?
I think they sell our number. I not so worry lah. I just play along and let them hang up after a while. But beware if you top up for your senior or people who not so tech savvy.
Both is ported number. And the scam recorder voice is the same. Anyway i won't care so much lah. I just want to raise awareness for people who use this number to senior.Could be coincidence. Is it a new number? or your existing number ported in?
if new number, most likely recycled, so it's to be expected.
i have one new number, one ported in. for the new line, unknown calls started a few days after activation. for the ported in number, no change in frequency of unknown callers.
of course, it is possible that they sell the number, but i don't have evidence one way or the other (since no significant increase in nuisance calls).

The promo is if you top up $8 credit in main balance then they will credit free $8. I’m not sure how it applies to you when you say you converted your $0 plan to the $8 plan. Anyway just FYI also, the promo ends 30 SepI just converted my expired $0 to the $8 plan. Am I entitled to the get free $8 promo? If so, when will the $8 be given?
